Wuqiong Bi

Wuqiong Bi is the only woman counted among the Storms of the Eight Directions and one of the era's Divine Domain experts. Her cultivation can cover a battlefield in a lethal lotus sea or build layered defenses against another supreme cultivator, but her judgment is repeatedly governed by wounded pride and fierce family attachment. The murder of her son sends her and her husband across the continent in search of vengeance; when that search destroys him, she gives her remaining cultivation and life to the youth he protected. Biography

A mother's vengeance and the coup

Wuqiong Bi first enters the Orthodox Academy conflict to recover face for her son, Bie Tianxin. Her anger makes punishment indiscriminate: she harms the academy's dog, cuts off Guan Bai's arm, and threatens Xuanyuan Po rather than limiting herself to the person she blames. Stored sword intent from Su Li and the intervention of Tianhai Divine Empress drive her away and damage her horsetail whisk. The humiliation does not moderate her temper; it confirms her belief that supreme status entitles her family to violent redress. (Chapters 469 and 534–568)

She later joins her husband Bie Yanghong in the coalition against the Divine Empress. Wuqiong Bi releases a vast blue-green ocean of lotus-like force and an aura of deathly silence, but the Empress's presence shakes her courage and threatens to break her control. Bie Yanghong protects her when the clash turns against them, revealing the structure beneath their public equality as two great experts: her ferocity drives the confrontation forward, while his steadier judgment repeatedly absorbs its cost. The coup succeeds, but it does not cure the pride or dependence exposed in battle. (Chapters 636–669)

Grief at Holy Maiden Peak

After Bie Tianxin is murdered through a wider conspiracy, Wuqiong Bi and Bie Yanghong are manipulated into blaming Chen Changsheng. Grief removes what restraint she possesses. At Holy Maiden Peak she attacks Chen and Xu Yourong, seeking an immediate target for a mother's rage rather than testing the accusation with the care Bie Yanghong still attempts to preserve. The pair's harmonized swords repel her, and a later surprise attack also fails. The confrontation leaves the true killers free while turning potential allies into enemies, showing how easily her devotion can be redirected by deceit. (Chapters 834–852 and 902–903)

When Wang Po intervenes, Wuqiong Bi attempts to stop his descending blade with more than a hundred defensive layers formed from her whisk, robe, and cultivation. She holds for only a brief interval, but doing so demonstrates genuine Divine Domain mastery even amid emotional disorder. The broader conflict does not give her vengeance, and evidence eventually sends the couple toward White Emperor City to find the people behind their son's death. Her motive remains love for Tianxin, but each impulsive attack leaves Bie Yanghong more responsible for containing the consequences. (Chapters 852, 883–900, and 902–903)

The last journey with Bie Yanghong

In the west, two Angels ambush the couple. Wuqiong Bi manifests her lotus sea, but fear breaks the completeness of the domain and opens a gap through which an Angel severs her left arm. Bie Yanghong shields her and suffers still more serious injuries. They survive the immediate assault only to encounter Chusu, who kills Bie Yanghong. The sequence strips Wuqiong Bi of the family she sought to avenge and makes the cost of her volatility physical: her husband again protects her, and this time the wounds leave no shared future to preserve. Beside Bie Yanghong's dying body, Wuqiong Bi recalls how their relationship began and refuses to disguise her cruelty as repentance. Yet she makes one final act that is neither revenge nor self-preservation. Pressing a finger to Xuanyuan Po, she pours divine Qi and the remainder of her cultivation into him, repairing and transforming his damaged arm at great danger to both of them. The transfer rapidly ages and kills her. Though afraid of death, she chooses to die beside her husband, and their bodies dissolve together into golden sand. (Chapters 969 and 1002–1003)

Appearance and personality

Wuqiong Bi is ordinarily a beautiful woman in a deep-blue Daoist robe, carrying a horsetail whisk that marks both her religious identity and fighting style. Her expression and spiritual pressure can make that beauty severe rather than gentle. After the western ambush she is missing her left arm, and grief, injury, and spent cultivation leave her pale, sunken, and nearly lifeless before her death. Her defining traits are pride, vicious temper, and absolute attachment to family. She can be cruel to bystanders, attack before evidence is secure, and remain unrepentant even at the edge of death. She is also genuinely brave at times and deeply afraid at others; neither quality cancels the other. Love for Bie Tianxin and Bie Yanghong gives her life coherence, but because she treats injury to them as license for indiscriminate vengeance, enemies can manipulate that love into destructive error. Lotus sea and silent extinction

As a Storm of the Eight Directions, Wuqiong Bi can project a Divine Domain resembling a huge blue-green ocean filled with lotus-like waves. Its arrival suppresses a broad area and carries a deathly silence that threatens those caught within it, combining environmental control with destructive force rather than focusing on a single weapon stroke. Her horsetail whisk directs fine traces of power, while her robe and true essence can also be incorporated into defense. (Chapters 636–653, 883–900, and 936–950)

The domain depends on mental stability. Tianhai's superior presence damages Wuqiong Bi's courage during the coup, and fear of the Angels later opens a flaw in the lotus sea large enough for one to cut through and sever her arm. Her realm therefore makes her one of humanity's strongest cultivators without making emotion irrelevant. Harmonized opponents can repel her, stronger sacred beings can overwhelm her, and panic can turn a theoretically vast defense into a vulnerable one. (Chapters 636–669, 834–852, and 936–950)

Layered defense and cultivation transfer

Against Wang Po's descending blade, Wuqiong Bi builds more than a hundred layers from whisk strands, robe, and concentrated cultivation. The barriers delay another supreme expert for several moments, proving both rapid control and substantial defensive depth, but they cannot stop the blade indefinitely. The feat is best understood as resistance under extreme pressure, not evidence that she is stronger than Wang Po. Damage to her whisk and later loss of an arm further reduce the tools through which she expresses that control. (Chapters 534–568 and 883–900)

Her final technique transfers divine Qi and accumulated cultivation directly into Xuanyuan Po through a finger. The influx repairs his injured arm and drives a dangerous transformation that he must survive rather than passively receive. It also consumes Wuqiong Bi's remaining vitality, causing immediate aging and death. The exchange shows that her sacred cultivation can be given away in a concentrated legacy, but only at catastrophic cost and without establishing that the recipient inherits her complete realm or techniques. • Bie Yanghong: Bie Yanghong is Wuqiong Bi's husband, fellow supreme cultivator, and repeated protector. He tempers her impulsive judgments and absorbs grave wounds while shielding her; after Chusu kills him, she spends her remaining cultivation and chooses to die beside him. • Bie Tianxin: Tianxin is her son and the focus of both her pride and her grief. She first assaults the Orthodox Academy to avenge an affront to him, then crosses the continent after his murder, but manipulation directs that later vengeance toward the wrong people. • Chen Changsheng: Wuqiong Bi attacks Chen after being led to believe he bears responsibility for Tianxin's death.
