Biography

Betrayal inside the sword array

Huai Bi returns with Huai Ren and Huai Shu, loudly insisting that outsiders have no right to interfere with South Stream Temple's proposed closure. During the confrontation she uses attacks from outside the plateau to infiltrate the temple's sword array, risking death from its strongest internal response. Her real decision emerges afterward: Shang Xingzhou has promised her something, and she uses the Divine Finger of the Worldstream to seal Huai Ren's key Qi openings. The blow forces Xu Yourong to break seclusion and draws Huai Shu against her. Huai Ren reverses the restraint, but Huai Bi's action has already turned a policy dispute into treason and left her name attached to the bloodshed. (Chapters 877–914, 987, and 1069)

Appearance and personality

No stable physical description is given beyond her Daoist identity. Huai Bi is sharp-tempered and expressive: anger reddens her face and raises her brows, while trembling eyelashes and shifting expressions reveal unease beneath attempts at composure. (Chapters 878–912)

Abilities and cultivation

Huai Bi knows the Unity Sword Art and understands the South Stream sword array well enough to exploit an external assault as cover for entry. Her Divine Finger of the Worldstream seals Huai Ren's most important Qi openings and temporarily forces the stronger nun into passivity. The technique is effective as a surprise attack, but Huai Ren can reverse it, and infiltration would have been fatal if the array had directly targeted her. (Chapters 895–899, 913–914, and 1069)
