Patron of profitable expansion

Waukeen first influences Faulen Island through Xena and the Church of Wealth. Her Gold Priests represent the highest mortal tier of the church, while its loans, remittances, currency exchange, storage, and commercial protection make it function as a financial network as well as a religious body. Agreements with Leylin Farlier's household exchange capital and protection for profitable techniques. The growth of Port Venus and the Giant Serpent Church draws Waukeen's direct attention once worship and trade open a valuable new region (Chapters 840–842, 955, 1003).

Dealings with Kukulkan

Waukeen recognises Leylin's divine aura and orders Xena to show goodwill while observing the Giant Serpent Church. Because divine rules prevent her from openly trading with a false god, she works through Xena and proposes moving Debanks Island's gold into mainland markets. In return, she wants help locating valuable divine artefacts such as the Sceptre of Savras. Her neutrality makes commerce possible without erasing the constraints imposed by the wider divine order (Chapters 1012–1014).

When a separate agreement with Mystra requires intervention, Waukeen honours that single contract. She possesses Xena, rescues the legendary Jeffries, and uses Space-time Shift to remove Leylin from the immediate battlefield. Waukeen explicitly limits the action to the existing bargain and leaves Leylin's territory untouched; Xena is left badly depleted after serving as the vessel (Chapters 1016–1018).

Appearance and personality

Waukeen manifests as an elegant woman in luxurious golden robes. She is graceful, commercially minded, and strictly neutral, but not casually faithless: profit motivates her negotiations while an accepted contract still binds her conduct. Her careful distinction between the Mystra agreement and Leylin's territory shows a preference for limited obligations over open-ended divine war.

Magic, bloodline, and abilities

Waukeen is an intermediate goddess whose divine perception lets her recognise the aura around Leylin's shrine and issue guidance through her clergy. She can project or possess a mortal representative, as demonstrated through Xena, but the vessel pays a severe cost and is left depleted afterward. The supplied chapters do not present this as a cost-free permanent incarnation (Chapters 1003, 1012, 1016–1018).

Her named divine ability, Space-time Shift, displaces Leylin from one part of the valley to another area filled with mist beasts. It is a powerful battlefield removal effect; this scene does not establish unrestricted time travel or unlimited planar transport (Chapter 1018).

The Church of Wealth's banking, storage, credit, and trade protections extend Waukeen's influence, but those services are institutional capabilities performed by priests and branches rather than personal combat spells (Chapters 840–842).
