Snoopy
Snoopy is Leylin Farlier's reserved apprentice and Parker's grandson. Despite modest aptitude and a bloodline capped below the Ouroboros Clan's elite lineages, he advances to rank 2 and becomes a dependable librarian, combat leader, and tower operator in Leylin's organization.
Biography
An apprentice with family expectations
Leylin introduces Snoopy to senior Warlocks so that the younger man will gain experience and connections beyond private lessons. Snoopy finds the attention embarrassing, stumbles through formal greetings, and retreats from social pressure, but remains deferential to his mentor. Parker ties his own service to the hope that Leylin will secure his grandson's future. This makes Snoopy both a genuine student and the center of Parker's long-term family strategy. (Chapters 412–414)
Onyx Castle and the library
After Leylin completes the Onyx Castle tower, he renews Snoopy's instruction and gives him access to an environment rich in resources but dangerous to ordinary residents. Snoopy's enthusiasm for books leads Leylin to place the entire library under his management. He tracks oxidation, asks the tower genie to isolate affected regions, supervises preservation, and monitors energy consumption in restricted areas. The responsibility expands his role from pupil to custodian of knowledge and part of the tower's daily administration. (Chapters 437–444)
Advancement and combat service
A century of intermittent mentorship and access to the tower helps Snoopy reach rank 2, an achievement the narrative treats as impressive for his meager aptitude and Black Horrall Snake bloodline. During unrest around the Ouroboros Clan, he no longer behaves only as a quiet attendant. He takes command in fighting hostile Magi and helps move Warlock personnel when Leylin's organization must respond to wider threats. His development is therefore institutional as well as magical: responsibility grows with his rank. (Chapters 444, 466, 478, and 483)
Technical loyalty through Leylin's rise
Snoopy later operates an energy reactor during Leylin's confrontation with a gluttony clone and remains useful through the movement away from Onyx Castle. He works beside other subordinates rather than seeking an independent faction, and his final supplied appearance has him bringing Leylin extensive documents and crystal-ball records for study. The bookish apprentice has become one of the people trusted to preserve, operate, and deliver the infrastructure on which Leylin's research depends. (Chapters 492–504, 540–542, and 583)
Appearance and personality
Snoopy is introduced as a reserved youth with a pockmarked face and a dimpled smile. He is awkward in ceremonies, easily embarrassed by senior attention, and quick to remove himself from uncomfortable social situations.
That shyness does not translate into unreliability. Snoopy is diligent, respectful, intensely interested in books, and attentive to technical details such as environmental damage and binding-room energy use. Over time he becomes willing to command others in danger and to handle critical tower systems. His loyalty remains focused on Leylin and on the responsibilities his mentor gives him. (Chapters 412–583)
Magic, bloodline, and abilities
Black Horrall Snake Warlock cultivation
Snoopy carries the rank 3 Black Horrall Snake bloodline and advances to rank 2 as a Warlock. Warlock cultivation develops spiritual force and the body along the inherited creature's path, while the ancestor's grade also creates a ceiling on later advancement. Reaching rank 2 is notable because Snoopy's natural aptitude is described as meager. The corpus does not name his meditation technique, bloodline spells, or a demonstrated full transformation, so abilities belonging to other snake Warlocks should not be assigned to him. (Chapters 412 and 444)
Library preservation and magical containment
Snoopy can organize a large Magus library whose contents include enchanted or hazardous volumes. He identifies oxidation, delegates isolation through the tower genie, preserves records, and reports abnormal energy use in restricted sections. His work requires magical literacy and procedural judgment rather than merely shelving ordinary books. The tower genie's barriers and automated responses are external systems he operates; they are not spells generated by Snoopy alone. (Chapters 441–444)
Combat leadership and tower operation
At rank 2, Snoopy can lead Warlocks against hostile Magi and participate in evacuations. He is also trusted to operate an energy reactor supporting Leylin's battle, following technical procedures under conditions where failure would affect a much stronger combatant. The narrative does not give him a named offensive spell, so his demonstrated competence should be described through command, rank, and system operation rather than an invented attack repertoire. The energy reactor, Onyx Castle, and troops under him remain organizational resources. (Chapters 478–504)
