Scarlet Eye

Biography

Leader of the Atlan Union

Scarlet Eye rules the Atlan Union as the strongest known Emberwing, having cultivated Fireplume to its thirteenth level rather than merely crossing the tenth-level threshold. He fortifies Tylasus and his residence while the Union faces the Mobius Organisation, foreign Magi, and the Divineflame Empire. Because the residence recognizes his bloodline aura, enemies exploit his kinship with Schiker as a route through protections that brute force could not quietly defeat. (Chapters 565–571)

Battle at Tylasus

Scarlet Eye transforms into a fire phoenix and defeats Divineflame Emperor Archibald, but Zegna's rank 5 clone attacks before he can consolidate the victory. His phoenix body repairs damaged wings and allows him to keep fighting two rank 5 enemies, yet ordinary regeneration is not enough to reverse the ambush. He therefore burns his own life force through Flaming Undead Aves, tears open a spatial route, and returns to his residence. The technique saves him and wounds his pursuers, but destabilizes his aura so badly that recovery is estimated to take a century. (Chapters 569–575)

Defence of the residence

Leylin Farlier attacks while Scarlet Eye is still gravely injured. Scarlet Eye uses a map tied to Lava World to trap the intruder and again manifests his phoenix power, but his diminished Flaming Undead Aves cannot reproduce the output of the earlier battle. Leylin wins and completes the infiltration that Scarlet Eye's bloodline barriers were intended to prevent, exposing how completely the prior ambush had reduced the leader's fighting strength. (Chapter 576)

Appearance and personality

Scarlet Eye has red hair and eyebrows. His name reflects his striking eyes, and his transformed body is a gigantic, brilliant fire phoenix. He is proud, vigilant, and fiercely protective of the Union, yet his confidence in elaborate safeguards does not prevent deep infiltration.

Magic, bloodline, and abilities

Fireplume and phoenix transformation

Scarlet Eye has reached Fireplume's thirteenth level, the peak of the rank 5 range and the level associated with peak Radiant Moon strength. He can become a colossal golden fire phoenix whose flames, physical force, and flight let him contend directly with other rank 5 rulers. Damage to the phoenix's wings regenerates during combat, but this recovery is not limitless: sustained attacks by two peers still leave his aura and body in a critical state. Fireplume at the tenth level and above also links its user to the ancient fire-phoenix source and can alter Emberwing bloodlines, although the story does not show Scarlet Eye freely rewriting another person's bloodline. (Chapters 565, 569, and 572)

Flaming Undead Aves

Flaming Undead Aves is Scarlet Eye's desperate Arcane Art. He burns life force to intensify the phoenix manifestation into a firestorm powerful enough to affect the boundary of Lava World, injure rank 5 pursuers, and open a route through space. Its price is proportionate to that output: the first use leaves him with an unstable aura and an expected century-long convalescence, and a later attempt while wounded produces a much weaker result. It is therefore an emergency exchange of future vitality for immediate power, not a sustainable transformation. (Chapters 574–576)

Barriers and stored attacks

Scarlet Eye's residence uses barriers keyed to his Fireplume level and bloodline aura, and its vault contains a previously stored full-power phoenix attack. Those defences extend his reach over a prepared location but are equipment and formation effects. They can be bypassed with a compatible bloodline signature, and the stored strike does not demonstrate that an injured Scarlet Eye can personally reproduce full power on demand. (Chapters 571–576)

Relationships

  • Schiker: A blood relative whose bloodline can reproduce Scarlet Eye's aura.
  • Archibald: The Divineflame Emperor and his long-standing rival.
  • Zegna: A former transactional ally whose clone joins the ambush against him.
  • Bowens: An embedded enemy who exploits Scarlet Eye's absence to breach the residence.

Items

  • Vault barrier: A flame defence keyed to tenth-level Fireplume and Scarlet Eye's bloodline aura, containing a stored full-power attack (Chapter 573).
