Sarah is the gentle upper-class wife of Baron Jonas and mother of the child through whom Leylin Farlier enters the World of Gods. She worries when Jonas proposes professional and scholarly education at a young age, but supports the plan once it begins. She and her husband secretly listen to Anthony's first religious lesson and take open delight when the tutor predicts their son could become a great scholar. (Chapters 790–792)

Her faith and domestic role shape the upbringing around Leylin. Sarah is a devout follower who participates in the family's noble and church obligations, while Anthony, Ernest, and the household trainers provide specialised instruction.
