Biography

Protector of the east

Logan leads the Melhawk Guild and serves as Protector of eastern Twilight Zone. He meets Leylin Farlier inside Dark Steel, an intelligent metallic residence, to investigate the destruction of Dense Fog Forest. Leylin supplies records and invokes eastern law; Logan accepts that Nature's Alliance can inherit the defeated guild's position in return for joining the coming war. The two also exchange meditation experience, and Logan's understanding of rank 2 development helps fill gaps caused by Leylin's rapid advancement (Chapters 344–348).

When central Twilight Zone comes under pressure, Logan personally asks Leylin to reinforce it. He admits the danger, bends deeply despite his rank, guarantees Nature's Alliance the resources and treatment of a large guild, and promises that Melhawk will enter the conflict as well. During the later political crisis he supports suppressing Longbottom's revolutionary army, but listens when Leylin proposes a youth competition as a way to pacify unaffiliated Magi instead of fighting every dissenter (Chapters 360–369).

Last survivor of the protectors

The war and Longbottom's ambush leave Logan and the Guardian of the Realm barely breathing while two other protectors lie dead. They hide in a narrow cave, but Leylin locates them with the Coin of Destiny. After the Guardian hears Leylin's intention to rule Twilight Zone and tells him to proceed, thick darkness covers the cave. The text does not narrate a separate killing blow, but both wounded survivors thereafter vanish and Leylin assumes power; Logan's death is therefore strongly implied rather than shown directly (Chapter 382).

Appearance and personality

Logan is an older, bearded man with a broad smile and visible wrinkles. He negotiates cautiously and can speak mercilessly about wartime discipline, but his actions remain public-spirited: he trades influence for reinforcements, honours his own promise to fight, and humbles himself before a younger Magus when Twilight Zone needs help.

Magic, bloodline, and abilities

Logan is a rank 3 Magus and regional protector whose personal spell list is not demonstrated in the supplied chapters. His authority lets him negotiate guild status, mobilise Melhawk, enforce wartime allocations, and participate in the war council. His meditation experience concerns the consolidation of rank 2 power and the path toward a rank 3 point mass, but sharing that knowledge does not identify a personal meditation technique (Chapters 344–369).

Dark Steel is a separate peak-rank-1 metallic lifeform with innate life-aura concealment, fluid steel shaping, speech, and locomotion. Logan travels inside or atop it and sometimes struggles to control its behaviour. Those traits belong to Dark Steel rather than Logan's body or spellcasting (Chapters 344–345, 360–361).
