Search for the Dragon-Blooded Flower Bud

Jenny enters the Woody Wastelands seeking a Dragon-Blooded Flower Bud, publicly claiming it is a beauty gift for her mother. The cover hides a succession crisis: Marquis Argus is dying from poison, and the rare plant is needed before her uncles consolidate the family around themselves. Jenny uses large rewards to mobilize scouts and mercenaries, but the secrecy also prevents most recruits from understanding the political danger attached to success. (Chapters 298–300)

She attempts to recruit Leylin Farlier after learning he was once a powerful adventurer. Leylin refuses direct service but orders Baelin to accompany her, partly to advance his student's training. Jenny plans around the Goat-Horned Earth Dragon's low intelligence and sensitivity to blood, preserving the flower in its lair rather than simply attacking. During the battle she reveals herself as a Level 1 acolyte and uses a green energy arrow to blind one eye while Baelin holds the creature at close range. (Chapters 299–302)

Baelin's externally assisted Grand Knight breakthrough provides the killing blow and secures the flower. Jenny rewards surviving adventurers and the families of the dead, then swears that the Argus Family will answer Leylin's future request. The expedition shows both her strengths and limits: she can organize money, intelligence, terrain, and ranged support, but the dangerous objective still requires a martial champion and Leylin's hidden intervention. Ambush and return to the capital

Her uncles ambush the returning party, kill most guards, and mortally wound James. A family protective artifact lets Jenny and the butler escape long enough to reach Potter Town. James dies after identifying the political attack, leaving Jenny with the medicine but almost no trustworthy household force. She accepts Baelin's escort because returning remains the only chance to save her father. (Chapters 304–305)

Leylin joins only after allowing their desperation to establish his bargaining power. His presence deters or defeats the Magus-level threats behind ordinary military pursuit and carries the group through the Weeping Ghost Grounds. Jenny contributes regional knowledge, reads the intentions of soldiers and nobles, and keeps the mission focused, but correctly treats Leylin—not Baelin or herself—as the decisive protection against prepared acolytes. The flower temporarily improves Marquis Argus's condition, but does not remove the faction supporting her uncles. Jenny offers Leylin wealth, service, and even herself in exchange for intervention. He refuses because the rival branch is backed by Siegfried and preserving Jenny's inheritance offers insufficient benefit. Without that higher-ranked protection, medicine alone cannot solve a political structure already prepared to reject her. (Chapters 312–315)

Lucas poisons the Marquis again, publicly claims that Jenny contaminated the flower, and uses the transparent accusation as a loyalty test: anyone who disputes it identifies themselves as an opponent. The family accepts the fiction, Jenny loses legal standing, and a pursuer nearly captures her. Baelin rescues her and collapses from the effort. Jenny chooses him over the remains of her title, turning a relationship that began as recruitment into a shared exile. (Chapters 315–316)

Exile as Ginny

Jenny and Baelin cross the border after repeated assassination attempts and settle in a remote town under the names Ginny and Aru. Noble education and acolyte knowledge help them navigate languages, trade, and local danger, while Baelin's Grand Knight body protects them from mundane pursuit. Over roughly three years, hatred and the need to survive drive Jenny to Level 2, allowing effortful Rank 0 spellcasting. (Chapters 345–347)

Exile changes presentation more readily than purpose. Jenny wears burlap, manages an ordinary household, and accepts that armies of darkness creatures would sweep away both her and Baelin despite their local strength. She nevertheless retains the desire to avenge her father. Her caution balances Baelin's heroic impulses, although she cannot always prevent him from entering threats beyond their combined rank. (Chapters 345–347)

Their rescue of the dark elf Memphis entangles them in the wider Twilight Zone conflict. Jenny can speak the languages of dark elves, gnomes, and grey dwarves, allowing communication where Baelin sees only an enemy species. She uses her bow against pursuing spider knights and helps convert an accidental rescue into information about the dark-elven invasion. Baelin eventually enters the central region while Jenny remains outside the final destiny conflict. (Chapters 346–364)

Much later, their son Will asks Leylin about his father. Jenny had raised him with a sorrowful account of Baelin and enough magical connection for Will to enter Nature's Alliance Academy. Her survival to tell that history is established; her later rank, death, and knowledge of Leylin's role in Baelin's sacrifice are not. (Chapter 619)

Appearance and personality

Jenny first appears as a fifteen-year-old noblewoman. She is beautiful, clean and carefully presented even after hardship, later wearing hunting clothes in the wasteland and ornate noble dress in the capital. In exile she matures into a woman wearing simple burlap under the identity Ginny. (Chapters 298–300, 306, 312, and 345)

She is astute, proud, and capable of shifting between courtly vulnerability and cold command. Her filial devotion is genuine despite the deception around her quest. Loss makes her more cautious and vengeful, while her care for Baelin gradually becomes a committed partnership rather than continued use of a convenient protector.

Magic, bloodline, and abilities

Level 1 to Level 2 acolyte

Jenny begins as a Level 1 acolyte and advances to Level 2 during exile. Level 2 lets her store enough spiritual force and magic power to cast Rank 0 spells, although each use still requires effort and her repertoire is not detailed. Her latest confirmed rank remains Level 2; noble status and later motherhood do not establish further magical progression. (Chapters 302, 311, 345–347)

Enchanted archery

Jenny's principal combat method is a crafted bow paired with magically empowered arrows. Green energy reinforces one shot sufficiently to pierce a Goat-Horned Earth Dragon's eye, while later black arrows can wound armored Underground Winter Spider Knights and kill a fleeing target through the neck. Her accuracy makes her valuable at range, but the arrows struggle against heavy armor and do not replace a frontline defender. (Chapters 302, 346–347)

Rank 0 magic

After reaching Level 2, Jenny can cast Rank 0 spells with effort. These give her options beyond archery, but the corpus does not name a signature spell or show her overpowering trained Magi. The distinction matters: she understands magical threats and can support a fight while remaining far below official Magi and massed darkness creatures. (Chapters 345–354)

Languages and cultural knowledge

Private tutors teach Jenny the languages of dark elves, gnomes, and grey dwarves despite substantial physiological differences in speech. This lets her interrogate Memphis, recognize educated foreign speakers, and interpret cross-species danger. Language knowledge changes the party's strategic options but supplies no magical compulsion or guarantee that the speaker is truthful. (Chapters 308, 346–347)

Expedition planning and command

Jenny recruits scouts, sets large rewards, protects the objective from collateral damage, compensates casualties, and evaluates succession politics. Against the earth dragon she uses blood bait and ranged support rather than a frontal noble charge. Her plans remain dependent on available force: when Magus patrons support her uncles, command skill cannot prevent the household from changing sides. (Chapters 298–315)

Survival and household management

In exile Jenny combines noble education, local caution, magical awareness, and Baelin's combat strength to establish a hidden household. She judges when a region has become indefensible and prepares to relocate before the darkness-creature horde arrives. These are professional and strategic competencies, not a combat rank, but they explain how the pair survives years of pursuit and raises a son after losing noble support. (Chapters 345–364, 619)
