Biography

Defending the Forgotten Land

Modris confronts Leylin Farlier beside the Barbarian Bear and human chiefs when Ouroboros Warlocks force their way into the Forgotten Land. He splits into moving images and prepares a summoning mixture whose fog and manifested hand are meant to cage Leylin. Leylin recognizes the recipe, neutralizes it with a simple counter-potion, and humiliates the chief on the field where he expected his specialist craft to dominate. Modris retreats rather than gamble his life, then argues for gathering Hydro and Crystal Phase forces instead of destroying the valuable pocket-dimension entrance. (Chapters 420–424)

Alliance, rescue, and ransom

Inside Quicksand Castle, Modris pursues Kesha and uses stronger ice and maze magic to pressure her, but the immortal Trenchcoat turns both intruders into prey. Their previous rivalry becomes irrelevant once the castle's gene curse begins threatening their bodies. Leylin cures the curse, while Modris sacrifices defensive jewelry and supplies a crystal ball loaded with escape charms. That division of resources gets all three out alive. Leylin then exploits Modris's injuries and earlier hostility to demand valuable materials and research notes as ransom, sparing a chief who can pay rather than killing him. (Chapters 428–436)

Appearance and personality

Modris is an old, green-skinned being with a huge head, a braincase twice human size, a deeply wrinkled body, and a few yellow teeth. He is proud of his craft but quick to flee when outmatched, practical enough to ally with an enemy, and comically indignant when Kesha calls him a dwarf. (Chapters 420–434)

Magic, bloodline, and abilities

Crystal Phase spellcasting

Modris is a Crystal Phase Magus with high spiritual force and magic power. He can split his apparent body into three complete moving images, forcing an opponent to identify the true caster while he chants, and later uses large-scale ice and labyrinth effects during the pursuit through Quicksand Castle. These spells let him misdirect, restrain, and shape terrain, but opponents of Leylin's caliber can pierce the images or circumvent the intended battlefield. (Chapters 420 and 428–434)

Potion combat

As a Potions Master, Modris combines prepared liquids into battlefield effects rather than relying only on conventional spell models. His green summoning mixture manifests a monstrous, suction-covered hand and fills the area with caging fog; other preparations provide poison, frost, corrosion, or escape utility. This versatility depends on recipes, ingredients, and correct deployment. Leylin defeats the signature mixture with clean-jem neutralizing potion, demonstrating that a knowledgeable alchemist can counter the reaction instead of overpowering it. (Chapters 420–421)

Clan authority and prepared artifacts

Modris can rally Green-skinned Barbarian Magi and negotiate strategy with the other Forgotten Land chiefs, but those troops are organizational power rather than summoned creatures. His grey bowl serves as a potion vessel, the gemstone necklace provides expendable frost and binding defence, and the escape crystal ball carries a limited set of charms. These tools substantially expand his options, yet they can be neutralized, sacrificed, or exhausted and should not be confused with his personal Crystal Phase reserves. (Chapters 420–434)
