Biography

Duel outside Dolon

Alicia is a rank 2 dark elven matriarch who confronts Leylin Farlier during the war in Twilight Zone. She opens with seduction and a concealed spider attack, then fights through a smelted shield, thorn whip, bonded Underground Frost Spider, cold webs, deceptive bodies, and a white scimitar. Leylin shatters the shield and defeats the familiar's fire-suppressing cocoon by shifting Shadow Flames toward darkness. Alicia sacrifices the swollen spider in an explosion to escape, but the blast wounds her lower body and forces her to flee as a blood-coloured ray. (Chapters 357–358)

First submission

After the dark elven revolutionary army falls, Alicia kneels before Leylin on behalf of her race. She surrenders the Dark Elven Crown and the complete Life Absorption meditation text, promises withdrawal from northern Twilight Zone, and offers resources and slaves in exchange for survival. Leylin accepts. The text establishes Life Absorption as a matriarch-restricted dark elven inheritance, but it does not directly show Alicia practising or using it. (Chapter 385)

Queen before the Radiant Guardian

More than a century later, Alicia has advanced to rank 3 and become queen of the dark elves. When the subterranean races challenge Leylin, she remembers his danger and kneels before the battle, taking responsibility despite protests from her own matriarchs. Leylin's domain kills the attacking forces and the dark elves who hesitate, while Alicia and those who remain kneeling survive. She then withdraws to dark elven territory and offers a race-binding contract that would make her people permanent human vassals. (Chapters 604–605)

The dark elf is unrelated to the human noblewoman also named Alicia who appears in Chapter 58.

Appearance and personality

Alicia is a beautiful, pale dark elf who wears revealing leather and carries a thorn whip. In battle, complex black markings cover the right half of her face like a mask. She deliberately weaponises charm and resents submission, but survival takes priority over pride: twice she accepts public humiliation and harsh concessions to keep the dark elves from extermination. (Chapters 357–358, 385, and 604–605)

Magic, bloodline, and abilities

• Rank progression: Alicia fights Leylin as a rank 2 matriarch and is a rank 3 Magus when she returns as queen. The corpus does not name the spell or breakthrough by which she advances. (Chapters 358 and 604)
• Seductive energy: Alicia projects a supernatural allure while bargaining, but Leylin expels it with spiritual force. It can influence perception or desire; it is not irresistible mind control. (Chapter 357)
• Underground Frost Spider familiar: Alicia summons a bonded white-jade spider whose cold threads form a defensive cocoon designed to suppress rank 2 fire magic. She can fuse with it, use its light-reflecting concealment, and turn a spider leg into a cold white scimitar. The defence fails against Leylin's darkness-dominant Shadow Flames, and Alicia detonates the spider to break free. (Chapter 358)
• Webs, feints, and escape: Alicia combines concealed movement and false bodies with a mucus-coated white web that corrodes its target. When Leylin traps her, she separates from her swollen familiar in a burst of white light and ultimately flees as a blood ray. The escape saves her but does not prevent serious injury. (Chapter 358)
• Life Absorption: Alicia surrenders the complete high-grade meditation text, which steals life force to raise spiritual force and aid breakthroughs. It produces unstable foundations, has never carried a matriarch into Morning Star, and increasingly drains its own user. These are properties Leylin derives from the text; Alicia is not directly shown using the technique. (Chapter 385)
