Xue Ruyue

Xue Ruyue is the estranged princess of the Xue Clan, Tian Yang's disciple, a leader of the Judgement Order, and one of Damien Void's wives. Born with an exceptional affinity for yin itself, she expands an early moon-and-ice path into Absolute Yin. That power grants extraordinary control over creation's negative aspects, but its heavenly price makes preserving and reclaiming her emotions the defining conflict of her later life.

Biography

A clan's pawn and Tian Yang's disciple

Ruyue is born the only daughter of patriarch Xue Yebai in a clan that had overthrown its former matriarchy. Because women traditionally inherited the clan's strongest yin talent, her direct affinity for yin makes her both valuable and politically threatening. Her relatives deny her ordinary affection, reduce her to a marriage asset, and teach her to survive by presenting an unapproachable, ice-cold exterior to everyone outside the servant couple who raised her. (Chapter 180)

At eighteen, after secretly reaching second class, Ruyue learns that her parents intend to marry her to an elder of Jade Heavenly Palace. She responds by fleeing rather than negotiating within a structure designed to deny her choice. She passes Celestial Star Palace's examination, reluctantly accepts Tian Yang as a protector, and discovers that his guidance contains no sexual or political demand; under him, she reaches third class by age twenty. When Tian Yang introduces Damien as her junior brother, Ruyue initially treats the disruption as an intrusion into the first safe routine she has known. Damien refuses to defer to either her clan title or senior-sister posture, returning arrogance with arrogance and seeing her as an individual. Their arguments make her socialize, while Tian Yang's joint lessons force both disciples to test their comprehension and admit their limitations without reproducing the Xue Clan's hierarchy. The Nox mission and the 3000 Beast Mountain Range

Tian Yang assigns Ruyue and Damien to infiltrate a gathering of wicked sects suspected of Nox collusion. With Chaos-rank disguise bracelets, they become the rogue cultivators Xiao Li and Zhen Fang, investigate rather than assault a superior force, and uncover an organized Devil Worshipper convention. The mission lets Ruyue act without the Xue princess's social weight, but their escape leaves both fugitives trapped inside the 3000 Beast Mountain Range. (Chapters 166–200)

Inside the range, Ruyue refuses to become a dependent passenger. She and Damien divide enemies, protect Zara during the Death Seed's possession attempt, and pursue training even when the local experience flow is distorted. Her moon affinity broadens as she learns that “moon” means direct connections with celestial satellites rather than one lunar body, while her exceptional yin affinity lets her derive gains even from an environment poorly suited to her. The journey also dismantles her belief that indifference is safer than emotion. Damien challenges her attempt to retreat behind coldness after violence unsettles her, and both share the guilt and fear they usually suppress. Ruyue, in turn, lies that she has found a suitable training opportunity so Damien will use the White Dragon Grotto without abandoning it for her sake. Mutual teasing becomes trust, attraction, and a partnership defined by reciprocal care rather than clan obligation. (Chapters 180, 203, 210, and 222–230)

A new family and the fall of the Xue Clan

After the mountain range is destroyed, Ruyue reunites with Damien in the Sanctuary and openly accepts the relationship they had been building. She also meets Lily and Mei, twin Yin Elemental Spirits sharing one body, and forms a willing spirit contract with them. The pair enter her mindspace, give her compatible younger sisters to protect, and expand her access to deathly yin, later enabling Death Goddess' Descent and stronger death-aspect techniques. (Chapters 408–413 and 450)

The Empyrean Dragon Realm places Ruyue directly against Xue Clan juniors sent to kill her. She hunts rather than flees, eliminates the relatives who speak of her as property, and then joins the assault on the elders who upheld the clan's corruption. Against the twelfth elder, she accepts Rose's support, blends lunar and death mana, develops Distorted Moonlight under pressure, and proves she can injure and help defeat a fourth-class opponent while still third class. (Chapters 431–452)

Victory does not erase trauma. When Xue Yebai appears, his presence freezes Ruyue despite her power and previous inner trials, demonstrating that autonomy cannot be secured by combat ability alone. Tian Yang blocks her father's attack, condemns his Nox collusion, and kills him; only then can Ruyue cry with relief and recognize that the threat controlling her future is gone. She later leaves the Cloud Plane with Tian Yang's paternal blessing rather than a patriarch's command. (Chapters 453–456 and 475)

Human Domain wars, Yin Spirit Queen, and Judgement

Ruyue joins Rose and Elena at the front of the Cloud Plane purge, killing traitors while worrying over Damien's disappearance through their soul connection. In the Human Domain war, she reaches peak third class and challenges an early fourth-class enemy because she refuses to let Damien reach the summit alone. Her Blood Moon, iceflame, spear, and conceptual yin attacks give her cross-class lethality, but the complexity of moon and yin comprehension delays Baptism for years. (Chapters 470–480, 565–566, and 690)

Her fourth-class breakthrough occurs off-page. By the Grand Assembly, Ruyue is Level 380 with the class Yin Spirit Queen, capable of freezing four geniuses at the molecular level in an instant. Reunion in the Holy Light Realm repairs the long separation from Damien and her sisters, and Damien's proposal finally gives their assumed marriage an explicit commitment. The completed emotional and physical union cements her Void Daughter candidate status and immediately advances her into the first revolution. (Chapters 992–1058)

Ruyue then serves in the Judgement Order beside Rose, Elena, Long Chen, and the other younger leaders. She converts ambient Death Mana into replacement undead in Ghost King's Crevice, helps assassinate internal traitors, and joins the shadow-army operation that devastates the order. After Xue Yue's death, she uses a Reaper manifestation to extract and destroy the killer's soul, making retaliation both a personal family act and a declaration that betrayal will receive no rebirth. Supreme command and the price of Absolute Yin

After Damien is believed dead, Ruyue, Rose, and Elena bury their grief in the universal war. They cross the remaining nine-revolution ranks within five years, reach Supreme, and become figureheads directing the armies against the Nox. By the final counterattack Ruyue stands at peak Supreme, but even her broken soul connection cannot make her accept Damien's death; only a message containing private childhood knowledge convinces the three that he remains alive. (Chapters 1319–1332)

Their relief removes the emotional knot preventing Divinity, and after reaching the Heavenly World Ruyue completes Cosmic Rebirth as a Demigod. Her Divinity, Absolute Yin, extends control to all yin-related laws and concepts rather than a single element. The achievement fulfills the promise latent in her birth affinity, but its breadth makes her path dangerous: she is not merely using yin, but moving toward becoming its embodiment. During Cosmic Rebirth, Ruyue sees a future self who has perfected Absolute Yin by losing every emotion and abandoning everyone she loves. She rejects both surrendering the path and accepting total emptiness, instead making a heavenly bargain that preserves feelings for Damien, her sisters, and family while sacrificing emotions she deems nonessential. The compromise lets her dominate ten ice-law Demigods across a ten-thousand-kilometer field, yet it leaves her daily world increasingly colorless and strains her relationships. (Chapters 1551–1554)

Reclaiming emotion and the final war

Ruyue eventually decides that retaining only a protected core of feeling is not enough for the life she wants after the wars end. She wanders through the Heavenly World, studies how other people experience emotion, and slowly regains unfamiliar sensations despite heaven's binding vow. The quest gives her an independent reason to pursue the Unrecorded state: rising above heaven would void the bargain and allow her to reclaim what she sacrificed. (Chapters 1776 and 1780)

Damien refuses to solve that struggle by overriding her agency. Instead, he improves Ruyue's lineage, talent, bloodline, and foundation just enough to remove a terminal roadblock, leaving every actual advance to her. The gift grants her the qualifications to challenge the Unrecorded path without turning the outcome into borrowed power, and it reinforces a relationship in which his support protects her choices rather than determining them. (Chapter 1781)

In the Sacred Abyss, Ruyue faces Meryon, an embodiment of Absolute Yang designed specifically to contain her. Neither opposite can directly overpower the other, so every collision births uncontrolled Chaos and turns the contest into self-destructive attrition. Ruyue endures until the enemy's resurrection ends, senses heaven's restrictions loosen through the Yin–Yang clash, and wins. She later raises a family with Damien and, by the epilogue, advances beyond Supreme God while remaining one of the household's active leaders. (Chapters 1864, 1884, 1893, and 1897–1898)

Appearance and personality

Ruyue is a tall, striking woman with white or silver hair and luminous golden eyes, the characteristic coloring by which members of the Xue Clan are recognized. Her usual composed expression and yin-cold aura reinforce the “ice princess” reputation created around her. During Death Goddess' Descent her hair, irises, and sclera turn black, while her later white clothing and nearly silent movement make her appear like the tundra's own embodiment. (Chapters 167, 409, 450, 453, and 1553)

Her public reserve conceals pride, competitiveness, protectiveness, and an unexpectedly playful capacity for teasing. She dislikes political attention, coercive hierarchy, and being treated as a prize, but responds strongly to people who recognize her choices. Ruyue can be merciless toward enemies and traitors, yet gives medicine to wounded strangers and repeatedly sacrifices personal advantage for companions. Absolute Yin later changes genuine restraint into supernatural numbness, making the recovery of ordinary feeling a conscious moral and personal project. Abilities, laws, and evolution

• Absolute Yin: Ruyue's affinity is not simply yin-attributed ice; it is an unusually direct connection to yin, the complementary half of yang. At Divinity it encompasses ice, death, destruction, stillness, and other negative or receptive aspects. She can seize yin within ten thousand kilometers, freeze enemy mana, attacks, bodies, and souls, and stop space and time locally. The price is heavenly influence over her emotions, while Absolute Yang cannot be directly suppressed and forces both sides into dangerous Chaos. (Chapters 223, 1510–1553, 1864, and 1884)

• Moon and celestial-body affinity: Daughter of the Moon begins as lunar energy, ice, and the Moon Goddess Spear Art, but Ruyue discovers that her status affinity signifies direct bonds with multiple celestial satellites. Different moons provide different properties, including purifying lunar light and blue-white Iceflame. Each connection requires separate comprehension rather than automatic command, and a poor local environment slows progress even though her exceptional affinity can exploit trace yin mana. • Moon Goddess Spear Art: Ruyue's principal martial system combines a white spear with lunar movement and large-scale control. Moonlight Serenade blends her figure into the sky, Drifting Moon controls a rain of autonomous spears, and Distorted Moonlight emerges during her fight with the twelfth elder. Spear combat gives precision to her vast mana, but abdominal injuries can limit mobility and force her to shift toward remote or conceptual attacks. (Chapters 160, 213, and 450–452)

• Death Goddess' Descent and spirit contract: Contracting Lily and Mei places the two Yin Elemental Spirits in Ruyue's mindspace and adds deathly mana to her existing lunar foundation. Death Goddess' Descent blackens her appearance and surrounds her with death spears; later, she can reuse ambient Death Mana to animate fallen undead or call a Reaper to attack a soul. These effects depend on available death-aspect power and the contract rather than making Ruyue a natural necromancer without limits. (Chapters 413, 450, 480, 1065–1069, and 1161)

• Erasure and negative yin: Erasure attempts to apply yin's negative aspect so completely that a target is removed from existence. Ruyue develops it early, but the technique has stringent conditions and a low success rate at her third-class strength. Against the twelfth elder she aims it at an ice-law barrier rather than the expert herself, erasing the defense so her spear can pass through; tactical targeting compensates for incomplete authority. • Mana volume and saturation tactics: Ruyue possesses exceptional reserves and commonly overwhelms a battlefield with moons, iceflame, death, destruction, and repeated ranged techniques. At high levels this makes her destructive output second only to Damien among their group when she fully embraces indifference. The style is potentially predictable and costly, so she retains spear skill and tactical preparation for opponents capable of surviving saturation. (Chapters 450, 565–566, 1553, and 1864)

• Void Daughter candidate and enhanced foundation: Her completed bond with Damien cements the Void Daughter candidate condition and catalyzes first-revolution comprehension. Much later, Damien strengthens her lineage, bloodline, talent, and foundation so her prior cultivation will not block an attempt to become Unrecorded. Neither change grants the final achievement automatically; Ruyue must still comprehend and cross every remaining boundary herself. (Chapters 1058 and 1781)

• Damien Void: Damien begins as the junior brother who refuses to treat Ruyue as a title, then becomes her equal partner through the Nox mission and the mountain range. He helps her reject emotional retreat, confronts Xue Yebai, and later marries her. When Absolute Yin threatens her feelings, he respects her bargain but strengthens her foundation for the path she chooses, preserving support without taking ownership of her achievement. • Tian Yang: Tian Yang gives Ruyue political protection after her escape and teaches through direction rather than control, gradually becoming the parent her clan denied her. He shields both disciples during dangerous missions, blocks Xue Yebai's lethal attack, and personally ends the patriarch's threat. Their farewell confirms a familial bond: he is proud that her emotional wall has opened and asks only that she return to visit. (Chapters 140–180, 453–456, and 475)

• Rose Adelaire: Rose calls Ruyue her second sister and supports her vendetta against the Xue Clan, neutralizing a fourth-class elder's defenses so Ruyue can remain the principal attacker. They later hold the Niflheim front together, enter the first revolution together, and lead the universal army as Supremes. Ruyue's later decision to take a deployment alone unintentionally overlooks Rose's need for self-discovery, showing that Absolute Yin's numbness can injure even a durable sisterhood. • Elena Pierce: Ruyue and Elena begin with limited direct familiarity but become sisters through the Cloud Plane purge, Human Domain campaigns, Judgement Order, and shared family. Their later paths diverge—Elena pursues Transcended Death while Ruyue seeks lost emotion—but both join the final Sacred Abyss war and the household that follows it. • Lily and Mei: Ruyue recognizes the twins as compatible kin almost immediately and willingly accepts them into her mindspace rather than treating them as equipment. They call her big sister, contribute deathly yin to her techniques, and fight through her in Death Goddess' Descent. • Xue Yebai: Ruyue's father treats her affinity and body as clan resources, arranges a coercive marriage, and continues to imagine reclaiming her after she escapes. Although Ruyue can fight the clan's elders, his presence still triggers paralysis rooted in childhood trauma. His death at Tian Yang's hands ends the immediate danger but also proves that defeating abuse requires trusted allies as well as individual strength. (Chapters 180 and 431–456)
