Rose Adelaire
Rose Adelaire is an imperial princess who abandons a confined life on Apeiron and becomes an illusionist, military strategist, Grand Commander, and one of Damien Void's wives. Her cultivation transforms illusion from deceptive perception into direct control over reality, while her personal arc moves from finding freedom through adventure to choosing family life without surrendering the power to define that choice for herself.
Biography
The princess behind Katherine Hart
Rose first travels under the name Katherine Hart, concealing both her face and her position as an Adelaire princess. The Legacy Tomb forces her to confront an idealized version of the childhood she lost: her murdered mother lives, her treacherous sister remains loving, and adventure ends in a peaceful marriage. She rejects that manufactured happiness, breaks the illusion by imposing her own power upon it, and finally trusts Damien with her real name and identity. (Chapters 71–72)
That choice is rooted in more than a desire for secrecy. Rose grew up amid her father's enormous and poisonous imperial harem, lost her mother to a coup, survived a half-sister's murder attempt, and learned through her unusual eyes that many suitors wanted her for lust or political advantage. Although a night of honest conversation with her father began her recovery, palace life still made freedom and genuine affection feel difficult to obtain. (Chapters 71, 100, and 105)
After the tomb, Rose reaches Level 100 and accepts Spectral Phantasm as her third class because her Eyes of Destiny point toward it. The class gives her illusions limited purchase on reality, expands them into a pseudo-domain, and improves concealment; she retains wind through the Wind Archmage subclass. This is not merely a numerical promotion: Illusory Throne becomes the foundation of the path by which she turns an escaped princess's wish for freedom into authority over the world around her. (Chapters 73–75)
Earth, Nox atrocities, and a difficult household
When Rose and Elena infiltrate the Nox facility on Earth, the experiments they witness overwhelm Elena and strip away Rose's usual teasing. Rose conceals them, recognizes that the cruelty extends beyond one planet, and tells Elena that strength is necessary to impose justice when institutions will not. Her response is severe rather than comforting in a conventional way, but it restores Elena's resolve and establishes Rose as a practical emotional anchor during their first sustained operation together. (Chapters 99–101)
Rose also becomes the first partner to whom Damien fully explains his fear of intimacy. She listens without interrupting, answers his vulnerability with the history of her own broken family, and refuses to treat his difficulty communicating as rejection. The exchange clarifies why she once distrusted a shared relationship, yet it also shows why she will not reproduce her father's household: she expects honesty, voluntary bonds, and care among everyone involved rather than political possession. (Chapters 105–106)
Her early rivalry with Elena consequently develops through action rather than a sudden declaration. During the beast tide, Rose uses Illusory Throne to dominate a winged lion close to her strength, disables it inside her domain, and deliberately leaves the finishing blow to Elena so Elena can reach her third class. Their competitiveness remains, but Rose's genuine delight at Elena's success proves that the supposed love rival has become a partner whose advancement matters to her. (Chapters 147–152)
The Cloud Plane and the Human Domain war
Separated from Damien on the Cloud Plane, Rose and Elena establish themselves in Supreme Fairy Paradise as the “Heavenly Fairies.” Rose studies the karmic threads visible to her eyes, detects false relationships and dangerous intentions, and uses the sect as a base while searching for the red thread connecting her to Damien. The displacement frightens her, but surviving it with Elena changes isolation from an abandonment wound into a demanding trial that deepens their mutual reliance. (Chapters 416–421)
Reunion does not return Rose to the sheltered outlook she had on Apeiron. She accepts Ruyue first as a rival and then as a younger-sister figure, while repeated life-and-death battles make her bond with both women unlike the toxic competition she witnessed in the imperial palace. By the Niflheim campaign, she defines her purpose less as personal exploration and more as using all her strength to support the dreams of the people she loves. (Chapters 421–475 and 566)
That purpose is tested while Damien undergoes his Baptism. Rose holds a failing front with Ruyue, expands Illusory Throne across hundreds and eventually a thousand kilometers, cancels mana, spares allies from the pain of illusory hellfire, and drives enemy soldiers to destroy one another. The feat clears an enormous section of the battlefield, but it also drains scarce reserves and cannot solve the larger numerical crisis, forcing her to confront the difference between spectacular control and strategic victory. (Chapters 556–567)
Weaver of Reality and the Judgement Order
After years of warfare, Rose and Ruyue remain third class because their complex elements delay their Baptisms even though they have fought in the purges of three worlds. Rose's actual fourth-class transition is not shown, but by the Grand Assembly she stands at Level 380 as a Weaver of Reality. There she answers a humiliating provocation by making an aggressor experience a bodily transformation so convincing that it nearly becomes real, publicly announcing the Human Domain's return to the universal stage. (Chapters 690 and 992)
In the Holy Light Realm, Rose reunites with Damien and the family regains the emotional security lost during their separation. Damien's proposal makes their previously assumed marriage explicit; Rose accepts first and helps him approach Elena rather than allowing the moment to remain centered on herself. Their completed emotional and physical union cements her Void Daughter candidate status, and the resulting comprehension immediately carries both Rose and Ruyue into the first revolution. (Chapters 1003–1058)
Rose then becomes the Judgement Order's spokesperson and operational leader as the younger generation confronts Nox forces and internal traitors. She proposes reconnaissance against the shadow army, insists on avoiding direct combat before understanding its formation, and guides the group through a mission that costs many members their lives. After killing the defeated Hound Lord, she turns grief into a renewed oath: weakness and carelessness cannot be allowed to slaughter everyone they mean to protect. (Chapters 1146–1161)
Supreme commander and True Fantasy
When Damien is believed dead, Rose, Ruyue, and Elena fight through grief rather than accepting the loss. Within five years they ascend through the remaining nine-revolution ranks to Supreme, then become the figureheads of the universal army. Rose's planning works beside Luciel's strategy and Tian Yang's experience, and by the final counterattack she stands at the peak of Supremes as one of the leaders whose decisions organize the entire campaign against the Nox. (Chapters 1319–1331)
News encoded in one of Damien's embarrassing childhood performances finally convinces the three women that he lives. Rose seals the meeting away from observation, is the first to say aloud what they have been afraid to hope, and recognizes that the mental knot blocking their rise toward Divinity has loosened. In the ensuing battle, she commands the war and traps twelve Nox Supremes in a reality that rejects their mana and returns their attacks, ending the encounter without leaving her throne. (Chapters 1331–1335)
After ascending to the Heavenly World, Rose becomes a Demigod and establishes True Fantasy as her Divinity, the formal expression of her desire to turn imagination into reality. Yet perfecting it does not provide a personal reason to live. When Ruyue takes a deployment alone, Rose realizes she wants to explore for self-discovery rather than obligation; Claire recognizes the crisis and redirects her toward an expedition that may help Dante, giving her both a purpose and an independent road west. (Chapters 1510–1554)
Arulion, the Sacred Abyss, and chosen peace
Rose's expedition brings her to Arulion, where a collapse in ambient mana opens the ancient dragon vault. She kills the powerless guards, enters before the defenses recover, and takes the entire collection rather than only the object she was sent to find. The theft removes the Book of Truth, the Scales of Fate, and a Primeval Tree fruit, sends six Holy Dragons chasing her into the Heavenly World, and accidentally prevents them from immediately killing August. (Chapters 1724 and 1749)
The adventure clarifies that Rose's deepest ambition is not endless cultivation. She wants to raise children with Damien and experience the ordinary household denied to her as an imperial child; she is willing to wait for a stable world, but refuses to let that wish remain indefinitely unspoken. She likewise has no personal need to become Unrecorded so long as her lifespan is secure, distinguishing contentment from inability or lack of talent. (Chapters 1776 and 1780)
Rose nevertheless joins the final Sacred Abyss war to prove that domestic life is her choice, not a retreat forced by weakness. At Supreme God strength she battles Veritera inside colliding domains, uses fate strings to weave and fold reality, and later exploits cracks created by Damien and the Dark God to dismantle her opponent's power. After victory she raises children, maintains the family's mundane home, and eventually urges Damien to explore beyond their cosmos because love should not become another confinement. (Chapters 1861–1898)
Appearance and personality
Rose is distinguished by pink hair and ruby-toned eyes, traits associated with the Adelaire family. Her eyes can reveal colored threads of emotion, karma, and fate, so her gaze often carries more information than her relaxed expression suggests. She commonly fights from a conjured throne, and her youthful scythe-centered style gives way to an increasingly still, imperial posture as her domain becomes capable of acting for her. (Chapters 38, 73, 109, 416, and 1335)
She is playful, observant, and deliberately provocative with trusted companions, but her teasing coexists with an unusually calculating approach to danger. Rose notices emotional strain before others voice it, plans around enemy psychology, and is willing to use terrifying illusions against people she judges hostile. Her central weakness is not timidity but self-effacement: for much of the story, supporting others becomes a substitute for identifying her own wants. Her later self-discovery and choice of motherhood correct that imbalance without erasing her devotion. (Chapters 75, 100, 105, 566, 1335, 1554, and 1776)
Abilities, laws, and evolution
-
Eyes of Destiny and Fate Discernment: Rose sees colored threads connecting people and uses them to read motives, relationships, and promising choices. The eyes guide her toward Spectral Phantasm and later become the fate strings with which she manipulates reality. Their information is not omniscient: distance prevents her from locating Damien's thread on the Cloud Plane, and interpretation still depends on her judgment. (Chapters 73, 421, and 1862)
-
Illusions and Phantasm Magic: Her early illusions simulate pain, fatigue, taste, bodies, and environments rather than merely presenting images. Spectral Phantasm lets those constructs touch the essence of reality, but the class explicitly states that true reality alteration is initially beyond her. Stronger perception, superior law, or an opponent's own domain can contest the effect, so her progress depends on comprehension rather than spectacle alone. (Chapters 73, 152, 416, and 566)
-
Illusory Throne: The throne creates a pseudo-domain in which Rose's commands become law against beings near her level. Early uses sever wings or immobilize a target without an observable attack; the Niflheim version cancels mana and turns negative emotions into selective hellfire across a vast battlefield. Its breadth consumes mana, cannot prevent new armies from filling cleared ground, and becomes dangerous when an equally developed territory resists assimilation. (Chapters 73, 152, 566, and 1862)
-
Reality weaving and True Fantasy: Weaver of Reality advances illusion into direct manipulation of bodies, attacks, mana, space, and causality-like fate threads. At Supreme level Rose can make hostile attacks multiply and rebound while the environment rejects their owners. Her Divinity, True Fantasy, formalizes the goal of creating “illusions beyond illusion,” and at Supreme God level she folds dimensions into a cage while weaving reality from the strings revealed by her eyes. (Chapters 992, 1335, 1510, and 1862)
-
Concealment and infiltration: Rose can hide individuals, camps, and her own movement by making the false state indistinguishable from reality. This makes her a natural infiltrator and escape specialist, supports Judgement Order reconnaissance, and allows her to penetrate Arulion while the kingdom is distracted. Concealment is strongest when she controls the information environment; the open vault in Arulion succeeds partly because its mana-powered protections are temporarily absent. (Chapters 100, 1146–1161, 1554, and 1724)
-
Wind magic and scythe combat: Wind is Rose's original offensive affinity and remains preserved through Wind Archmage, while Adelaire Scythe Art gives her a direct physical option. She combines tornadoes and bladed attacks with illusion in early combat, but the conceptual illusion-reality path increasingly dominates her later battles. The scythe therefore remains a trained weapon rather than the defining source of her highest-stage power. (Chapters 73, 75, 152, and 1007)
-
Void Daughter candidate: Physical union plants the Void's seeds in Rose, while emotional commitment completes the complementary condition that cements her candidate status. The change supplies comprehension sufficient for her immediate first-revolution breakthrough, but it does not replace her own cultivation: her later Supreme ascent, Divinity, and reality law are all developed through years of battle and meditation. (Chapters 1058, 1319, and 1510)
Power progression
| Stage / Realm / Ability | Chapter(s) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Level 100 — Spectral Phantasm / Wind Archmage | 73 | Rose completes her third-class change. Spectral Phantasm gives her illusions limited influence over reality, large-scale pseudo-domain potential, and stronger concealment; Wind Archmage preserves her elemental offense. |
| Level 380 — Weaver of Reality | By 992 | Rose is still third class while training for her delayed Baptism in Chapter 690, but enters the Grand Assembly at Level 380 as a Weaver of Reality. The fourth-class transition itself occurs off-page, so only the confirmed endpoint is recorded. |
| Void Daughter candidate status cements | 1058 | Damien's physical and emotional union with Rose completes the two complementary conditions described for a Void Daughter candidate, producing a direct comprehension change rather than a conventional level increase. |
| First revolution | 1058 | The newly cemented bond immediately supplies the understanding Rose needs to enter the first of the nine revolutions alongside Ruyue. |
| Nine-revolution ascent to Supreme | 1319–1331 | A five-year summary states that Rose, Ruyue, and Elena rapidly ascend the nine-revolution ranks and reach Supreme. By Chapter 1331, Rose is explicitly at the peak of Supremes; individual intermediate breakthroughs are not separately narrated. |
| Demigod — True Fantasy Divinity | By 1510 | After reaching the Heavenly World, Rose becomes a Demigod and establishes True Fantasy, a Divinity centered on turning imagination into reality and creating illusions beyond illusion. |
| Supreme God | By 1862 | Rose enters the Sacred Abyss war at Supreme God strength. Her fate-thread domain folds reality into a multidimensional prison and grows fast enough to pressure Veritera's opposing territory. |
| Beyond Supreme God | By 1898 | The epilogue states that all of Damien's wives have ascended beyond the Supreme God level. Rose's intermediate God and True God promotions are not individually shown, so the final explicit endpoint is preserved without inventing transition chapters. |
Relationships
-
Damien Void: Rose first trusts Damien with her real identity after the Legacy Tomb exposes both of their wounds. She later gives him a safe place to discuss intimacy, accepts his proposal before the others, and repeatedly supports his journeys without concealing the cost of his absences. Their final dynamic balances the ordinary family life she chooses with the freedom she grants him to explore beyond the cosmos, confident that he will return. (Chapters 71, 105–106, 566, 1058, and 1897–1898)
-
Xue Ruyue: Initial jealousy develops into an elder-sister role forged through battle. Rose trusts Ruyue to leave her post during the Niflheim campaign, celebrates her glory as shared family pride, and advances into the first revolution beside her. Their later disagreement is quiet but meaningful: Ruyue's unilateral decision to take a mission away from Rose unintentionally reveals Rose's need for a goal of her own. (Chapters 421–475, 566, 1058, and 1554)
-
Elena Pierce: Rose begins by teasing Elena as a love rival, but their Earth infiltration establishes mutual care under pressure. Rose steadies Elena after the Nox experiments, engineers the kill that permits Elena's third-class change, and survives the Cloud Plane beside her. They later share command, grief, Supreme ascent, and family life, retaining friendly competition without returning to hostility. (Chapters 99–106, 147–152, 416–475, 1319–1335, and 1861–1898)
-
Claire Void: Claire recognizes the self-effacing habits Rose has carried into the Heavenly World and understands why losing a deployment damages her emerging desire for independence. Rather than simply comforting her, Claire gives Rose a mission tied to Dante's recovery and sends her toward the western dragon lands. That intervention becomes the adventure through which Rose rediscovers initiative and eventually disrupts Arulion's Holy Dragons. (Chapters 1554 and 1724)
-
James Adelaire: Rose's childhood view of James is shaped by his harem, political absence, and her mother's murder. She initially blames him and runs from the palace, but his account of Agata's final request and his continuing love for her mother begin their reconciliation. The relationship explains both Rose's distrust of coerced households and her determination to build a family held together by choice. (Chapters 71 and 105)
Items
-
Unnamed scythe: Rose's recurring physical weapon and the focus of Adelaire Scythe Art. It supports her wind-enhanced close combat during her third-class years, although her domain and reality manipulation later become her primary means of fighting. (Chapters 73, 103, and 1007)
-
Ancient dragon vault collection: During Arulion's mana collapse, Rose takes the vault's entire contents, including the Book of Truth, the Scales of Fate, and a fruit of the Primeval Tree. Her custody is explicit when she escapes into the Sanctuary and the Holy Dragons pursue the stolen artifacts into the Heavenly World; the narrative does not individually document the final disposition of every object. (Chapters 1724 and 1749)
