Claire Void

Claire Void, known on Earth as Claire Watson and in the Heavenly World as Claire Ellowyn, is Damien Void's mother, Dante Void's wife, and the head of Void Palace's Ellowyn Clan. Her apparent change from an ordinary comatose mother into a Supreme Goddess is the recovery of a hidden Divine identity, not an unrelated replacement: the mortal consciousness and original soul ultimately merge into one person who retains both lives.

Biography

A Divine life hidden inside Claire Watson

Claire begins as a Divine from the Heavenly World and the woman who becomes Mistress of Void Palace. When Dante's Divinity shatters and he descends to Earth, she follows by fracturing her own Divinity rather than abandoning him. Her injured Divine Soul enters stasis, allowing a new consciousness—Claire Watson—to arise without the original memories. She and Dante live as mortals and keep their unborn child, but the World Awakening later agitates the dormant soul and leaves Claire comatose. (Chapters 20, 1118)

That coma shapes Damien's earliest life in concrete ways. He takes dangerous collection and porter work because preserving Claire's hospital care is non-negotiable, and his promise to wake her becomes a reason to seek strength when he otherwise wants an ordinary life. After returning from Apeiron, he administers the Elixir, carefully helping her comatose body process it. Claire wakes after ten lost years, physically rejuvenated and initially unaware of her Divine history, turning Damien's first long-term obligation into a tearful reunion rather than a posthumous regret. Apeiron, the dream affinity, and a recovered name

Claire does not answer recovery by trying to confine her son. Once she understands the risks around Earth and the protection available through Rose's family, she agrees to relocate to Apeiron, while making Damien promise to visit. In Aurora, her sociability and experience with interpersonal work help her build a life independent of his constant protection. When Damien leaves again, she promises to grow stronger, making separation an accepted cost of his path rather than a reason to burden him with guilt. (Chapters 107–110)

Her dormant history returns through the dream affinity. The affinity allows the mortal consciousness and original Divine consciousness to merge, retaining Claire Watson's emotions while restoring Claire Ellowyn's memories and identity. She quietly leaves Apeiron for the Heavenly World and gives her former avatar Lynn genuine individuality. When Damien finally reaches Void Palace, Claire welcomes him home, identifies herself as head of the Ellowyn Clan, and introduces the wider family. The reunion fills the stable-home absence she had recognized in him, changing his relationship with the palace from political inheritance into belonging. (Chapters 1117–1119, 1397–1398)

Steward of Void Palace and the broken seals

Claire becomes one of the authorities who keep Void Palace functioning while Damien explores. He leaves her control of the palace's time mechanism, and she works with Serena to amplify its dilation and train the palace's forces. When Damien locates and rescues Dante, Claire helps tend the unconscious body rather than treating extraction as the end of the crisis. Later, when Damien admits that he provoked the Dark God and accepted a five-year deadline, she refuses empty condemnation, supports his resolve, and immediately plans how the palace can bear the consequences with him. Her war against Straea exposes the danger inside her own soul. Claire confronts Malefice with living creations patterned after the twelve zodiac animals, but the appearance of Erwin Ellowyn—whose betrayal destroyed her original family—triggers the release of the Dragon, Tiger, and Monkey seals. She deliberately flees populated space before bloodlust, power, and madness overwhelm her, limiting the harm even as otherworld beings seize her body. Damien enters the soul connection, converts its two-way invasion route into a one-way source under Claire's control, and her restored sanity leaves the former scourge strengthening rather than corrupting her. A whole family and the last war

Dante's awakening and Damien's return allow Claire to create the domestic continuity both men lacked. She interrupts their first in-person spar, drags them back to a family dinner, and turns those meals into a tradition that reconnects Dante with children and relatives separated from him for ages. Her anger is no longer bleak resignation; Damien recognizes the happiness beneath it and understands that protecting this newly whole family is a concrete reason to defeat the Dark God. Claire thus affects his final motivation not merely as someone to rescue, but as the person who makes the life after victory imaginable. (Chapters 1602, 1772–1773)

By the final war, Claire's healed soul has returned her to the peak of Supreme Godhood. She faces the Incarnation of Evil, using Creation for the material world and her Earth-born dream affinity for immaterial containment. The combination lets her keep initiative despite a passive aura that attacks her mind, but it does not make her invulnerable: Evil absorbs her attacks, forces her into a prolonged contest, and eventually grows beyond what one Supreme can defeat. Claire survives because Dante suppresses its reflected Existence while the world's Divinities attack together, and Damien's victory erases the incarnation before it can destroy them. Appearance and personality

Claire shares the Void family's black hair, amethyst-purple eyes, and recognizable resemblance to Damien. During her years in the hospital she appears middle-aged, but Elixir restores her so thoroughly that she looks to be in her late twenties despite having lived roughly fifty years. In her possessed state the most visible change is in her eyes: the amethyst irises become reptilian with slit pupils, while her internal anatomy and welcoming aura are replaced by something inhuman and violent. Her ordinary manner is sociable, warm, proud, and practical. The aura of her restored self resembles a hearth, encouraging trust and allowing her to guide Void Palace after Dante disappears. She can scold both husband and son into silence, yet discipline is usually paired with support rather than control. Claire's strongest recurring desire is peace for her family, but she does not confuse peace with passivity: she trains armies, confronts old enemies, and fights the final war because leaving the source of repeated attacks alive would only postpone another separation. Abilities, laws, and evolution

Claire is a peak Supreme Goddess whose natural law is Creation. Her unusual soul also contains a portal-like connection to another cosmos and an affinity for dreams developed during her mortal life. Those sources widen her range, but they also explain why her greatest power is paired with unusually severe mental and bodily risks.

Creation and the twelve living summons

Claire can use ordinary material creation, but her specialty is creating living organisms. Her twelve principal beings possess independent laws, abilities, intelligence, and long-developed identities; after living on Earth, she renames them for the twelve zodiac animals. The Snake contains and corners targets, the Horse supplies star-shattering physical force, and the Rat manifests as an endlessly replenishing swarm. Other summons fill healing, sealing, defense, and combat roles, giving Claire a flexible back-line style rather than forcing her into close combat. (Chapters 1563–1566)

The summons are also limiters. Dragon seals bloodlust, Tiger seals power, and Monkey seals madness; releasing all three unleashes strength beyond ordinary Supreme-God opposition but opens Claire to possession. Several summons are unsuitable for particular fights, and three are normally barred because their mere presence can cause unacceptable chaos. The Pig, her oldest sentient creation, prepares a final contingency that has only rarely been used. Her versatility therefore depends on judgment, setup, and restraint rather than unlimited access to every creation at once. (Chapters 1566, 1570–1571, 1574–1578)

Dream, the otherworld connection, and soul repair

The dream affinity first enables Claire's two consciousnesses to merge. In combat it gives her limited authority over immaterial space: she can build dream walls that contain a mind-intruding aura inside a dream dimension even when the target itself has no mentality to attack. Paired with physical walls, stars, and black holes made through Creation, the affinity allows her to move and preserve initiative against Evil. Its value is control and containment, not automatic mental domination. (Chapters 1118, 1868)

Claire's soul connection originally works in both directions. It inspires her living creations and supplies immense potential, but an alternate world's ruler and corrupted World Core exploit the route to parasitize her soul. Dante can preserve her mind but cannot remove the invaders. Damien's repair blocks their access while retaining Claire's ability to draw power through the portal. The result is a permanent structural improvement, though the crisis proves that her power can endanger her body, identity, allies, and surroundings if control is lost. Supreme Godhood and its ceiling

Claire is explicitly placed among the Supreme Gods, and her healed soul returns her to the peak state she held before descending to the lower universe. Her mortal suppression unexpectedly makes her mana resilient under Evil's pressure, while exposure to Void Palace's many disciplines broadens how she applies Creation. She nevertheless accepts that Existence is not her path. Against an enemy reflecting that higher concept, she can endure and create openings, but Dante and the wider coalition must contain and damage what her own authority cannot finish alone. • Damien Void: Claire's coma determines Damien's first work, risk tolerance, and promise to become strong; curing her with Elixir is the payoff to his earliest quest. She later accepts his departures, disappears when her Divine identity returns, and reunites with him as the person who gives Void Palace the emotional meaning of home. Her stewardship supports his campaigns, her soul crisis draws him into a rescue that permanently alters both of them, and her recovered happiness becomes one of the explicit family outcomes he protects in the final war. • Dante Void: Claire fractures her Divinity to follow Dante into the lower universe and builds a mortal family with him on Earth. His absence leaves her raising Damien under material pressure, while his later imprisonment separates them for an age. She helps recover his body after the Celestial Prison, cares for him through his coma, and restores family dinners after he wakes. Dante's earlier protections preserve her mind during possession, and in the final war he contains the Existence-level layer of the enemy she is fighting. • Serena: Claire introduces Serena as both her sister and Dante's second wife, supporting Damien through the initial awkwardness rather than treating Serena as a rival. When Claire is possessed, Serena risks direct attack to contain rather than kill her, holds the situation until Damien can repair the soul connection, and is the first person to embrace her when sanity returns. • Rose Adelaire: Rose first meets Claire immediately after Damien cures her and helps explain his years on Apeiron. Claire later relocates under the Adelaire Empire's protection, forms a rapport with Rose's father, and eventually vets and supports Damien's wives at Void Palace. During preparations for the last war, Claire and Rose bond over wanting an end to recurring conflict, even though Claire chooses to secure peace by destroying the source of future attacks. • Lynn Carter: Lynn is created from Claire's will to help keep the Nox away from Damien while he grows, but their bond becomes cooperation rather than simple ownership. Before returning to the Heavenly World, Claire cuts the controlling connection and grants Lynn full individuality. Lynn then gives Damien the history Claire intended him to learn and independently commits Avalon to his cause. (Chapters 1118–1119)
