Luciel

Luciel, the First Angel, is the leader of the Heavenly Clan and the principal logistics strategist of Grand Heavens Boundary's war against the Nox. Initially cautious enough to delay a full response while the universe lacks reliable information, he grows into the official who coordinates the Grand Assembly, backs Damien Void's transportation network, removes the council that sabotages the war, and commands the allied back line through final victory. His political ruthlessness develops from responsibility rather than personal ambition, and it remains grounded in the brotherhood he once shared with Lucifer.

Biography

Brothers in the old labyrinth

Long before the present war, Luciel and Lucifer adventure together as fourth-class veterans of the earlier Nox conflict. They deliberately suppress further advancement so capable fighters will remain available if the enemy returns, then join Alucard and Commander Huo on a labyrinth mission targeting a sealed Nox. The expedition shows Luciel before leadership consumes his life: suspicious and analytical, but relaxed enough to trade jokes with Lucifer and rely on him as a true brother. (Chapters 1323–1326)

When the experimental Nox divides into regenerating clones, Luciel and Lucifer cannot overcome their opponent's recovery. Lucifer is already wounded when the clone strikes again, so Luciel throws himself into the blow and nearly dies in his place. Alexander's intervention saves both men, but the decision becomes the defining memory of their bond. Thousands of years later, Lucifer mirrors it by taking the attack meant to kill Luciel, and this time the sacrifice is fatal. (Chapters 1325 and 1329)

Caution at the head of the Angels

Luciel first appears presiding over Angel executives after the Elven Sector becomes a permanent Dark Zone. He warns the other sectors but refuses an immediate full-scale response without information or preparation, and he decides the distant Human Domain can wait until the Assembly to learn the details. The position is defensible as wartime risk management, yet it also exposes his early blind spot: even while defending humanity's old sacrifices, he shares enough Angel hubris to underestimate its present importance. By the Grand Assembly, he openly leads the Heavenly Clan and hosts Luxurion's gathering. He keeps speeches short, opens the Holy Light Realm with two fellow Angels, monitors visiting powers, and uses calm intervention to keep offended elders from escalating against Damien. His mysterious attention to Damien begins with the Holy Light Realm spirit's reaction rather than prior personal loyalty; Luciel recognizes an anomaly, gathers information, and waits before committing his authority. The Grand Assembly becomes a war coalition

Luciel converts the Assembly from a tournament into a universal planning forum. He and Lucifer arbitrate sector votes, raise barriers to protect independent decisions, identify the Infected Source Worlds and traitor problem, and accept Tian Yang's proposal to conceal strength until the enemy exposes itself. When the Saint Emperor invades Luxurion and offers a two-year ceasefire, Luciel weighs the suspicious terms against immediate survival and accepts only after calculating that the oath gives the universe its best available preparation window. His treatment of Damien during the later judgment also shows how strategy and conscience interact. Luciel cannot control Immortal Blood Asura's panel, but he demands evidence, resists personal prejudice, worries when Damien worsens his own position, and reframes the punishment as discipline of a valuable young defender. He also validates Zara's identity after the trial. These actions do not make the process fair, but they use the limited authority he retains to prevent accusation from becoming an unrestrained execution. (Chapters 1134–1136)

Damien's network and Heaven's Army

During the ceasefire, Luciel becomes Damien's institutional partner for a universe-wide teleportation system. He allocates land, tests the first route, agrees on troop capacity, and accepts a metallic head key that gives him priority control over the finished arrays. Once the prototype works, he promises resources, protection for the Human Domain, and suppression of internal interference. Their public demonstration moves half a million soldiers almost instantly and raises recruitment, while Luciel takes control of Heaven's Army's back-line divisions and the logistics burden Damien cannot carry alone. The position gives him responsibility without unrestricted power. As head of logistics, he detects the danger in the Giant Domain and wants a larger response, but a divided council rejects the troop commitment and treats entire sectors as expendable losses. Luciel sponsors Rose Adelaire's Judgement Order and works closely with Tian Yang's trusted network, yet he cannot prevent loyal soldiers from losing faith while corrupt officials steadily remove his influence. His best systems still depend on people willing to use them for the same goal. (Chapters 1149–1152 and 1169)

Exile, counteroffensive, and the council purge

When David Joyce's council concentrates defenders around Luxurion and leaves the fronts vulnerable, Luciel performs anger so the conspirators will not notice his hidden response. He learns that official planning has become an ivory tower for elites expecting the rest of the universe to die, then orders trusted allies to retreat toward the Divine Realm. Luxurion's spirit confirms that the First Angel holds full control of the Sky Castle, giving him the foundation for a counteroffensive even after the council reduces him to an ordinary member. (Chapter 1171)

The retreat deliberately concedes unsalvageable territory so the loyalists can regroup, a choice that costs Luciel the Beast Domain and Soul World even while it preserves Beast Emperor Star and surviving troops. After Soul World falls, he kills David Joyce and the council with his own sword and openly begins the operation prepared in secret. Heaven's Army dissolves, but its committed soldiers join Luciel at Luxurion; freed from internal sabotage, that unified force surpasses the old army and restores his control over the denizen war effort. Final campaign and Sanctuary administration

Luciel heads the surviving alliance's strategic meetings, uses Damien's Abyss intelligence to prepare a preemptive counterstrike, and keeps the back line functional when the combat figureheads advance. The universal restriction later transfers him and the other Demigods to the Ancient Battlefield, interrupting direct command, but the systems and partnerships already established endure. After his return, he works with Rose and other planners to cage the Nox at Hephaestus, personally controlling intruder traffic through the array head token and signaling the final attack from the rear. Victory does not return him to ceremonial clan leadership. In the reconstructed timeline, Luciel becomes Lynn Carter's practical right-hand man, receives returning Demigods, and helps administer the Sanctuary's populations and forces. When Damien begins moving those forces into Void Palace, Lynn remains in the Sanctuary alongside Luciel to handle executive duties. The endpoint preserves his defining development: an Angel leader who once planned around sector boundaries becomes an administrator for a mixed civilization whose survival depends on cooperation across them. Appearance and personality

Luciel is a beautiful, blond-haired male Angel with pure white wings. He commonly wears a charming smile while hosting dignitaries or speaking to crowds, and that composed public image makes the narrowing of his eyes or hardening of his gaze especially noticeable. Light accompanies his movement and mana, whether he is creating a portal with other Angels or appearing between duelists in a flash of brightness. (Chapters 479, 981, 991, and 1125)

His calm is partly temperament and partly political performance. Luciel prefers to observe before acting, guides hostile conversations toward useful decisions, and can conceal a counteroffensive behind displayed anger. This patience sometimes becomes overcaution: his initial inaction frustrates Lucifer, and his willingness to postpone informing the Human Domain reflects inherited prejudice. As losses accumulate, he becomes more decisive without losing the habit of calculating consequences. (Chapters 479, 505, 984, 1049, and 1171)

Luciel's righteousness is practical rather than gentle. He protects due process when possible, allows civilians to flee doomed Soul World, and supports tools that save the largest number of people, but he is also willing to abandon territory and personally execute a council whose sabotage threatens universal survival. He does not enjoy these costs; collapsing in private and asking Luxurion's spirit what choice it would make show that ruthlessness is a burden he accepts, not a source of pleasure. Abilities, laws, and evolution

Light Law and Angel movement

Luciel's primary combat expression is Light. He can move or disappear in flashes of brightness, and his mana combines with two other Angels to construct the vitality-filled portal into the Holy Light Realm. In the old labyrinth, his light works most effectively when joined with Lucifer's darkness: the complementary forces produce attacks and barriers stronger than either brother can create alone. The combination still cannot overcome a regenerating Nox clone far beyond their effective output. (Chapters 981, 1125, and 1324–1325)

His Angel physiology includes wings and a long-lived Divine foundation, but the story does not present a named bloodline evolution or detailed personal Divinity. Luciel is explicitly among the Demigod sponsors friendly to Damien and is later transferred under the universal rule affecting Demigods. His status grants reach and resilience, not exemption from stage gaps: in the labyrinth he cannot cross from regular fourth class to an extreme-peak clone, and in the Ancient Battlefield he remains bound by the same universal restrictions as his peers. Barriers, formations, and sensory judgment

Luciel creates or directs barriers in both combat and administration. He raises voting partitions across the Grand Assembly atrium with a snap, participates in portal formations, and layers defenses with Lucifer against the Nox clone. He can spread his senses while testing Damien's teleportation route and distinguish its nearly instantaneous tunnel from conventional transport. These feats show strong formation literacy and perception, but Damien's new array design remains beyond Luciel's understanding while it is being constructed. Luxurion amplifies his operational range. Its spirit recognizes his unique mana signature, communicates through a hidden projection, confirms his traditional control as First Angel, and later supports the council purge and counteroffensive. This is authority over a great stronghold, not ownership of every Angel or automatic obedience from its political council. Luciel has to conceal preparations and gather loyalists because institutional control can still be neutralized by officials who control troop allocation. (Chapters 1124, 1171, and 1192)

Array head authority and battlefield logistics

Damien's metallic key bonds to Luciel's arm and makes him the priority controller of the universe's long-distance teleportation network. When unauthorized Nox bypass ordinary verification, the arrays slow them inside an expanded spatial corridor and send Luciel their information. He can authorize passage or trigger the highest protection, shattering the corridor so spatial storms erase the intruders. The ability depends on Damien's infrastructure and the issued head token; it is command access, not Luciel's native Space Law. (Chapters 1140–1141 and 1334)

His greater power is coordination. Luciel allocates armies, collects intelligence, runs high-level councils, creates counteroffensive plans, and supports front-line leaders without competing for their public role. He can misjudge incomplete information and cannot force divided authorities to follow correct strategy, but once traitors are removed, his back-line work lets Rose, Elena, and Ruyue win repeatedly and finally confines the Nox to a battlefield chosen by the allies. Swordsmanship and protective instinct

Luciel is capable of direct combat despite specializing in command. He carries a sword when he kills the corrupt council and can maintain barriers while fighting a superior Nox clone. His most important combat choice is protective rather than technical: he intercepts the strike that would kill Lucifer even though it nearly tears through his own chest. The corpus does not name a sword art or establish the council blade as a signature artifact, so his personal offensive repertoire remains less documented than his Light and command abilities. • Lucifer: Luciel and the Demon Emperor are openly called brothers despite representing traditionally opposed races. Their young selves adventure and combine Light with Darkness naturally, while their later leadership sometimes divides them over Luciel's caution. Each ultimately places the other's life first: Luciel nearly dies shielding Lucifer in the labyrinth, and Lucifer later dies intercepting the attack meant for Luciel.
