Iris
Iris, born Eyrissea Luminus, is the long-isolated Holy Master of Prismatic Sun Holy Land, Damien Void's fourth wife, and one of the foremost Creation Law practitioners of the final era. Her arc turns an inherited position and dangerous beauty into a freely chosen partnership, an awakened supreme law, and a new institution built through her own authority.
Biography
The Holy Master behind the veil
Iris inherits leadership of Prismatic Sun Holy Land early and spends more than ten thousand years separated from ordinary intimacy. Her true appearance causes viewers to lose mental function, so curtains, veils, enchanted clothing, blinded attendants, the Nine Illusions Tonic, and a memory-removing zone become necessities rather than pageantry. This isolation leaves her politically formidable but personally untested: most men approach the title or the prestige of possessing her, while her eyes expose the selfish intent behind their courtship. (Chapters 1056, 1060, 1243)
Damien's ability to look at her without losing himself breaks that pattern. Iris initially reveals her face as a test, then gives him her personal name when his reaction shows curiosity and sympathy rather than possession. She uses her authority to gather information from Stone Giant Holy Land and sends Damien's group toward the Severed World, later operating there through the independent avatar Sia. Their negotiations with Orion reconnect her Holy Land to its old benefactor, but the greater consequence is that Iris begins treating someone outside her office as a sincere friend and equal. (Chapters 1056–1060, 1112–1114)
Partnership on the Ancient Battlefield
Iris finds Damien on the Ancient Battlefield after his death and bodily reconstruction, where every other combatant is a Demigod and his lower-existence status should make survival impossible. She refuses to abandon the only true friend she believes she has, yet she also makes him prove that cooperation will not turn her into a permanent shield. After Damien demonstrates that he can redirect Divine Energy, Iris accepts the alliance, explains the wider war, and assumes responsibility without stripping him of agency. (Chapters 1234–1236)
Their partnership becomes reciprocal during the hunt for the Plague Lord. Iris supplies the Divine force, battlefield authority, and terrain control that Damien lacks; Damien cleanses the plague from her soul and develops enough strength to fight openly beside her. Over more than a year they kill hundreds of enemies, learn to read one another's intent in combat, and avoid serious injury through coordination rather than individual invulnerability. The experience erodes the rigid line between Holy Master and junior and gives Iris a relationship in which dependence moves in both directions. (Chapters 1237–1244)
Meeting the Ancient Sovereign forces Iris to confront a subtler obstacle. She has established a Divinity and lived for millennia, yet fear and inherited duty have left her identity too undefined to answer what she truly wants. The Sovereign refuses to supply a conclusion and instead makes her sit with the questions of purpose, affinity, and selfhood. Iris leaves confused, but chooses to pause and process rather than hide uncertainty behind rank. That willingness becomes the condition that allows her neglected affinity to answer when the next crisis arrives. (Chapters 1245–1250)
Creation, death, and chosen intimacy
During the coordinated Nox ambush, Iris stops repressing the affinity that chose her at birth and awakens Creation. Star Formation produces a genuine star, while an incomplete Personal Reality restores access to Universal Law inside the law-poor battlefield and lets her issue commands such as binding, sealing, expansion, lightning, and purification. The breakthrough turns a losing battle against puppets into control, but it does not grant instant mastery. Iris exhausts the Personal Reality, misjudges the Marionette Lord's hidden close-combat form, and is mutilated when her novice Creation cannot answer a more refined opponent at short range. (Chapters 1251–1261)
Rather than allow the Marionette Lord to kill her on their terms, Iris uses a Soul Pairing Beetle to connect their souls and deliberately shatters her own. The choice cripples the enemy and gives Damien an opening, but it also leaves pieces of Iris beyond ordinary restoration. She makes that wager because her battlefield trust in Damien has become absolute, not because she believes survival is guaranteed. Damien reaches her soul space only after the Void identifies a path that requires her consent, so her return remains a choice rather than a rescue imposed upon her. (Chapters 1261–1263)
Iris accepts both the relationship she has avoided for ten thousand years and the Void Daughter transformation that can rebuild her. The title draws the lost portions of her soul back from Nonexistence and reconstructs it into a qualitatively altered whole, though acclimating to that soul requires extended recovery. The event does not simply make Damien her savior: they use the protected time to state and explore feelings both had already developed, and Iris returns with a chosen bond, a future path through Creation, and a refusal to retreat into her former isolation. (Chapters 1263–1265)
A new authority in the Heavenly World
After recovering, Iris helps Tiamat complete the flawed law process around Damien's Cosmic Rebirth, then fights through the remaining Nox leadership beside her. She has recreated a variation of Universal Law through Creation and can mend Tiamat's fractured Divinity after the Soul Emperor falls. When the Ancient Battlefield opens, Iris enters the next stage of life not as a ruler tied to one inherited institution but as a veteran ready to challenge the Heavenly World. Her marriage to Damien is later accepted by Rose, Ruyue, and Elena because they recognize the repeated risks she took beside him. (Chapters 1284–1319, 1342–1344)
The Heavenly World initially forces Iris to confront habits formed by millennia at the Demigod ceiling. She remains a high-rank Demigod while adapting to an environment where Godhood is accessible, trains with Tiamat and Void Palace's forces, and accepts a battle against a God as part of that transition. At the same time, she defines a distinct approach to Creation centered on nonliving matter, energy, stars, and galaxies rather than copying Claire's path. This preserves her independence within both her marriage and her law. (Chapters 1416, 1445, 1510, 1552–1563)
Iris eventually builds a new sect in the Northern Region from the ground up. Within a decade it rivals a great clan, giving both herself and Void Palace influence while proving she can lead without inheriting a completed structure. In the final war she faces Yusen, a Grand Duke of Destruction designed to counter her. She accepts Creation's lower raw aggression, uses its precision and maneuverability to wait out his desperate offense, and turns patience learned through leadership into a battlefield advantage at the highest Divine scale. (Chapters 1776–1781, 1865)
When Tiamat's sacrifice removes the Foreign Army's artificial immortality, Iris finishes her opponent and helps stronger Divinities end battles below their tier. Victory allows her to choose the endpoint she wanted rather than chase the Void for its own sake. She enters Damien's new cosmos with Rose, Ruyue, and Elena, later raises twins with him, and shares the deliberately ordinary household that all five had postponed until war no longer dictated their lives. (Chapters 1780, 1893, 1896–1898)
Appearance and personality
Iris has long, faded sky-blue hair, a toned but not heavily muscular build, and multicolored eyes whose hues continually shift into one another. Before her soul reconstruction, observers perceive two overlapping forms: an approachable, mature woman and an ethereal goddess whose beauty cannot be described safely. Her uncontrolled effect can leave ordinary viewers mindless, so she wears layered artifacts shaped as a dress, veil, and jewelry. In her soul space after the change, the two images have integrated into one gentler, more approachable form without losing the rainbow eyes. (Chapters 1056, 1059, 1263)
Publicly, Iris is controlled, perceptive, politically literate, and capable of using the immense leverage of a Holy Master without hesitation. Privately, long isolation leaves her playful, impulsive, and inexperienced with sincere affection. She is proud enough to reject being carried through battles, but not too proud to depend on a trusted partner or protect one at personal cost. Later leadership tempers her aggression into patience: she remains competitive and self-directed, yet becomes content with Supreme Godhood, institution-building, and family rather than treating endless ascent as the only valid ambition. (Chapters 1060, 1234–1243, 1297, 1552, 1780–1781, 1865)
Abilities, laws, and evolution
Iris begins as a high-rank Demigod with an established Divinity and partial access to Universal Law. Her decisive evolution is the reclamation of Creation, which she develops into energy and material creation, large-scale constructs, a personal reality, and eventually Supreme-God combat. Creation provides extraordinary breadth and control, but its relatively tame nature gives it less raw aggression than Destruction and demands patience, positioning, and precise application.
Creation Law and material control
Creation chooses Iris at birth, but traumatic and repressed memories keep her from openly accepting it until the Ancient Battlefield. When the affinity blooms, she can create genuine celestial bodies rather than visual imitations: Star Formation manifests a star and detonates its heat, radiation, and chaotic energy. She also forms planets, barriers, golems, weapons, and environmental constructs, and can transform her own arm into a blade. The law's breadth does not remove the need to learn how each creation becomes an effective attack. (Chapters 1254–1261)
Creation is not inherently destructive. Its raw energy is tamer and less aggressive than its twin law, so Iris cannot always win by increasing output or holding an absolute defense against absolute offense. She compensates with control: constructs fill ruptured space, barriers redirect pressure, and carefully timed force can cut through a less maneuverable wave of Destruction. Her early failure against the Marionette Lord shows the danger of incomplete mastery and close-range exposure; her final duel with Yusen shows the later answer, waiting until his desperate aggression creates the opening Creation can exploit precisely. (Chapters 1257–1261, 1865)
Personal Reality and recreated Universal Law
Personal Reality superimposes an alternate set of conditions over existing space. Iris's first version is incomplete, but it reconnects her with Universal Law in an environment where that force is otherwise nearly absent. Within it, short commands such as “Bind,” “Seal,” and “Expand” cause the reality to select the appropriate mechanism, while created lightning, Heavenly Flames, purification, and spatial manipulation become available without Iris constructing each effect manually. The realm also has its own time relationship, which prevents Damien's temporal movement from altering events inside it. (Chapters 1258–1262)
The ability has limits. Its early form consumes enough energy that it dispels before the Marionette Lord's direct assault, and isolating a reality can also isolate Iris from outside help. Universal Law itself remains restricted on the Ancient Battlefield, so she later learns to recreate a variation through Creation instead of depending on the environment's supply. This lets her reinforce Damien's flawed Cosmic Rebirth and continue using law-like commands, but the corpus does not establish that her recreation becomes identical to the original universal force. (Chapters 1260–1262, 1284)
Perception, dangerous beauty, and concealment
Iris's shifting eyes perceive hidden intentions clearly enough that politically motivated suitors cannot disguise what they want from her. The text does not give this perception a formal skill name or explain whether it reads thoughts, souls, or another signal, so its demonstrated function is narrower than omniscience. Her appearance produces a separate involuntary effect that can destroy a viewer's ability to function, forcing her Holy Land to develop concealing artifacts, blind attendants, the Nine Illusions Tonic, and the Remembrance Zone as safeguards. (Chapters 1056, 1059, 1243)
Divine vessel and reconstructed soul
As a Demigod, Iris wields Divine Energy through an established Divinity and can analyze, heal, or reshape Divine structures. She helps stabilize the law environment around Damien's Cosmic Rebirth and later uses Creation to mend fractures in Tiamat's Divinity. Her own soul undergoes a more radical change when the Void Daughter title pulls missing pieces back from Nonexistence and reconstructs them. This restoration is not instant combat healing: Iris must spend years acclimating, and the precise later powers of the altered soul are not individually enumerated. (Chapters 1235, 1262–1265, 1284, 1315)
Power progression
| Stage / Realm / Ability | Chapter(s) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Demigod; established Divinity | 1125, 1445 | Iris appears among allied Demigods; later confirmation identifies her as a high-rank Demigod who remained near the lower universe's ceiling for millennia. |
| Creation Law awakening | 1256 | She stops repressing her birth affinity, manifests a true star, and gains a clear permanent path through Creation. |
| Void Daughter soul reconstruction | 1264–1265 | The title draws missing soul fragments back from Nonexistence and rebuilds her soul; acclimation requires extended recovery. |
| Supreme God | By 1865 | Chapter 1780 names Supreme God as her chosen endpoint, and the final war places her among Damien's apex-level wives fighting a specially raised Grand Duke. |
Relationships
- Damien Void: Damien first matters because he can see Iris without being enthralled, then earns trust by treating her as a person behind the Holy Master. On the Ancient Battlefield they become mutually protective partners: she shields him while he is below Demigod strength, he purifies her soul, and they develop near-wordless combat coordination. Her self-sacrifice and his entry into her soul space bring their unspoken love into the open, after which they preserve both intimacy and independence through war, sect-building, and eventual parenthood. (Chapters 1056–1060, 1234–1265, 1342–1344, 1552, 1776–1781, 1896–1898)
- Rose Adelaire, Xue Ruyue, and Elena Pierce: Damien's first three wives accept Iris as a fourth sister because her relationship with him grows through repeated danger and sincere care rather than status. Iris arrives awkwardly despite her age and rank, but the women build a relationship outside Damien through shared training and mutual respect. Their ambitions remain distinct, yet friendly competition and complementary choices carry them through the Heavenly World, the final war, and the peaceful family cosmos they choose together. (Chapters 1342–1344, 1416, 1510, 1550–1555, 1776–1781, 1862–1865, 1896–1898)
- Tiamat: Tiamat recruits Iris when Damien's Cosmic Rebirth needs correction, and the two fight the remaining Nox leadership as peers rather than as commander and subordinate. Iris uses Creation to repair Tiamat's fractured Divinity after the Soul Emperor battle, while later training turns trust into reliable battlefield cooperation. Their competitive urge to hunt the remaining enemies never erases the willingness to protect and restore one another. (Chapters 1284–1319, 1445)
- Prismatic Sun Holy Land: The Holy Land gives Iris authority, resources, and a protected home, but its leadership also intensifies her isolation and teaches her to treat most relationships as political exchanges. She uses its influence to reconnect with Orion and fight the Nox, then eventually builds a new Northern Region sect from the ground up. The second institution proves her leadership is personal capability rather than only inherited office. (Chapters 1056–1060, 1112–1114, 1236, 1776–1781, 1865)
Items
- Appearance-concealing artifacts: Iris wears an unnamed ensemble of dress, veil, and jewelry to hide the involuntary effect of her true appearance. The artifacts protect observers and allow ordinary audiences, but they do not change her underlying identity or remove the need for other Holy Land safeguards. (Chapter 1059)
- Soul Pairing Beetle: Iris consumes this creature before confronting the Marionette Lord and uses its effect to connect their souls. She deliberately shatters her own soul so the injury transfers and cripples the enemy; the tactic is a single extreme wager that leaves Iris dependent on an otherwise impossible reconstruction. (Chapters 1261–1262)
