Su Bal is a Su Clan commander responsible for Planet Nemo during the Cult's campaign against the clan.
Biography
From manipulated defense to reluctant evacuation
When intelligence falsely reports that the Cult will attack Nemo, Su Bal treats the apparent threat as urgent and redeploys forces exactly as Leo's misinformation plan intends, helping expose Koral instead. The later collapse of Su power changes his priorities: while relatives demand glorious last stands, Bal argues that civilians and irreplaceable talent matter more than ancestral territory and volunteers Nemo for abandonment. The evacuation preserves people at the cost of the planet, which subsequently falls to the Cult; his own later whereabouts are not established. (Chapters 529–536, 610, 639, and 663)
