Coerced courtship and a quiet refusal to intrude

Damien Alcazar targets Leo Skyshard as a possible Monarch-lineage match and spends heavily on VIP access, styling, and Serina's presentation. Serina objects that she may not be able to carry out the assignment, but her father frames marriage, manipulation, and reproduction as obligations to noble blood. She enters the event anxious and practiced rather than freely motivated, making her pressure explicit before she ever approaches Leo. (Chapters 180 and 185–186)
