Ramos
Gu Ramos is the captain of reigning champion Geneva Military Academy. A veteran Grandmaster and dual-saber fighter, he combines preparation, adaptive pressure, and public confidence, but his desire to personally finish Rodova's comeback exposes him to a depleted Leo's counterattack.
Biography
A champion captain under Rodova's pressure
Ramos enters the tournament carrying Geneva's championship expectations after already needing to rescue a close match against Clarence. He treats Yu Shen as a rival captain, studies Rodova's unexpected first-year strength, and warns Su Ran not to let hatred replace respect for Su Yang. His preparation helps him defeat Yu Shen in the final and shape Geneva's rotations around exhausting Rodova's remaining fighters. (Chapters 117, 162–168, 178, and 197–207)
Already wounded, Ramos chooses the spotlight and stays in to face Leo Skyshard rather than substitute. His veteran pressure and Rapid Slash wound Leo, and he learns to read Blade Switch, but Leo survives long enough to reverse the match and defeat him. The loss removes Geneva's captain while Darnell remains fresh; Ramos is not shown dying, and the supplied corpus does not establish his career after the Circuits. (Chapters 208–213 and 236–237)
Appearance and personality
Ramos is tall and broad-shouldered, with black eyes, reinforced crimson armor, and two curved sabers. He projects swagger and a practiced smirk for cameras, yet his private analysis is cautious and often uneasy. He is tactically observant and capable of restraining a teammate's arrogance, but personal ambition leads him to remain in a match when substitution would have been safer. (Chapters 162, 168, 197, and 200–211)
Abilities and power progression
- Ramos is a Grandmaster dual-saber specialist whose attacks are described as surgical and precise. He uses high-speed footwork, reverse grips, tight combinations, and sustained pressure rather than relying on a single overwhelming spell. (Chapters 178 and 200–212)
- [Rapid Slash] capitalizes on small defensive delays, letting him cut Leo's shoulder and waist once accumulated impact slows the younger fighter. His veteran perception also decodes Blade Switch during their fight. (Chapters 211–212 and 236)
- Ramos defeats Yu Shen and pushes an exhausted Leo hard, but earlier injuries, accumulated fatigue, and his refusal to rotate limit him. His defeat shows that technical superiority in an exchange does not guarantee endurance against layered deception and counters. (Chapters 201–213)
- No later rank progression, bloodline ability, or post-academy power state is established. (Chapters 213 and 237)
Relationships
- Yu Shen is Ramos's rival captain. Their formal hostility culminates in Ramos defeating him during the grand final. (Chapters 162 and 200–202)
- Leo Skyshard begins as an unexpected threat Ramos studies and becomes the opponent who eliminates him despite entering their bout exhausted. (Chapters 168, 197, and 208–213)
- Darnell Nuna is Geneva's undefeated reserve, whose freshness gives the team a final line of defense after Ramos falls. (Chapter 213)
Items
Ramos wears reinforced crimson armor and fights with two curved sabers. The equipment is unnamed, and its later custody or condition after his defeat is not recorded. (Chapters 200–212)
