Larry
Lieutenant Larry is a Righteous Faction officer selected as one of two identities for a Cult infiltration of Planet Koral. The real Larry is killed before the operation begins; subsequent actions under his name belong to a disguised Leo rather than to Larry himself.
Biography
A life reduced to an infiltration profile
The Cult chooses Larry because he and Lieutenant Aaron are ordinary-looking officers whose routines, speech, posture, preferences, and command access have been studied closely enough to imitate. Their apparent insignificance is the operational pressure placed upon them: the infiltrators need identities that can move through the base without scrutiny. Larry is not shown learning of the threat or making any choice in response, and the dossier reveals his life principally through hostile surveillance. (Chapters 500–511)
Leo Skyshard reaches Larry's guarded apartment, finds him asleep, and kills him with a controlled cut before dissolving the body and removing physical evidence. Leo then uses Shapeshift, Larry's uniforms, mannerisms, and clearance to enter briefings and map the base. A staged disaster later leaves the Righteous Faction treating Larry as missing, but that official uncertainty does not alter the directly shown fact of the real lieutenant's death. (Chapters 514–524)
Appearance and personality
Larry has brown hair and an average build deliberately described as easy to overlook. In his private room he sleeps amid stale cigar smoke, alcohol, old leather, neat files, carelessly placed boots, and a discarded uniform. These details suggest personal habits, but the corpus supplies no dialogue or conscious action from which a fuller personality can be established. (Chapters 510 and 515)
Abilities and power progression
- Larry is a military lieutenant with command clearance and two Grandmaster guards outside his residence, but his own cultivation rank, combat style, weapon, and named skills are not stated. (Chapters 510–515)
- The routines and professional access later demonstrated under Larry's face belong to Leo's impersonation. They establish the reach of Larry's office, not Larry's personal espionage, Shapeshift, or assassination ability. (Chapters 517–523)
- Larry never wakes in time to resist Leo, so the assassination does not provide a fair measure of his combat limit or perception under alert conditions. No progression is possible after his death. (Chapter 515)
Relationships
- Lieutenant Aaron is Larry's fellow officer and the second identity targeted by the same Cult operation. Their detailed profiles are paired, but a personal relationship between the real men is not shown. (Chapters 500–511)
- Leo Skyshard is Larry's killer and impersonator. Later soldiers' interactions with “Larry” are therefore relationships with Leo's cover, not evidence of Larry's own motives. (Chapters 514–524)
- Aegon Veyr participates in the operation under Aaron's identity but has no demonstrated encounter with the living Larry. (Chapters 500–524)
Items
Larry owns regulation uniforms, boots, personal files, and ordinary room furnishings later exploited by Leo's disguise. No named weapon or artifact is assigned to him, and the clothing taken from his room becomes infiltration material after his death. (Chapter 515)
