Fredrick is a Black Serpent spy assigned by Antonio to investigate and later kill Leo Skyshard.

Biography

Surveillance turned into a fatal pursuit

Antonio's suspicion of Leo places Fredrick under pressure to decide whether the recruit can safely enter the Vault. Fredrick tails him, conducts a meticulous apartment search, and initially reports that Leo is strange but not demonstrably threatening. Once Leo escapes with stolen property, Antonio converts the investigation into an assassination and recovery order. Fredrick tracks Leo's craft and correctly detects flaws in his distress story, but Leo delays contact until a cloaked Cult patrol vessel arrives and instantly destroys the pursuers, killing Fredrick with the rest of the chase crew. Appearance and personality

Fredrick is tall, neutral-faced, quiet, and deferential toward Antonio. His apartment search shows methodical patience, practiced stealth, and caution; during the pursuit he remains skeptical enough to recognize inconsistencies in Leo's deception. (Chapters 370–371 and 387)

Abilities and power progression

  • Fredrick is skilled at covert surveillance, lock bypass, evidence searches, report writing, and leaving no trace in a target's home. The evidence frames these as practiced tradecraft but does not name a supernatural stealth technique. (Chapters 370–371)
