Divine Elixirs
The Divine Elixirs are rare Neutral Zone consumables that permanently raise a designated physical parameter by one full rank. Seol Jihu acquires several through the Gold Mark's exceptional store access and delays using them until training and timing can preserve their full value.
History
Neutral Zone rewards
Divine Elixirs appear among the premium rewards available to Seol in the Neutral Zone. Their price and permanent effect make them fundamentally different from ordinary recovery potions. He buys a set tied to Strength, Endurance, Agility, Stamina, Mana, and Luck, then resists spending them merely for an immediate advantage. Because an elixir raises the rank rather than adding the same amount at every stage, consuming one near a natural breakthrough can waste growth that training could have supplied first. Bargains and delayed use
Seol transfers two elixirs during his bargain with Seo Yuhui for the Flower of Soma, showing that the consumables can be owned and exchanged before use. Jang Maldong later helps him plan around the remaining set, treating their timing as part of long-term bodily development rather than a shortcut that replaces training. The decision repeatedly tempts Seol when the next crisis approaches, but he continues saving the most valuable gains until his foundation reaches its limit. (Chapters 82–84, 99, 161)
Final preparation
Before the final war, Seol finally consumes the retained elixirs after using the Path of the Soul to transform his body and technique. Strength, Endurance, Agility, Stamina, Mana, and Luck rise in a sequence chosen to complement that foundation. Once swallowed, each pill is consumed and its effect becomes part of the user rather than remaining an inventory object. (Chapters 183–194)
Abilities and properties
- Each elixir permanently raises its designated parameter by one complete rank. (Chapters 99, 161)
- The resulting rank is affected by the user's current point of progression, so taking an elixir before exhausting natural training can waste potential benefit. (Chapter 99)
- Individual elixirs exist for different parameters; one type does not raise every statistic simultaneously. (Chapters 161, 183)
- The pills are consumable and cannot be recovered or transferred after ingestion. (Chapter 183)
