Wu Lei is the Star of Wrath, a battle-scarred Executor based in Grazia. He joins humanity's senior coalition for the Imperial Oath crisis, helps kill two Army Commanders in the final war, and returns when Paradise faces a later otherworldly threat.

Biography

Coalition wars

Wu arrives in Eva as organizations gather around Valhalla and acts as an easygoing intermediary when other senior fighters quarrel. During the Imperial Oath expedition he tests the barrier around the stele, joins the retreat group led out of the Empire, and remains part of the coalition that prepares for the Parasites' final campaign. These scenes establish him as an independent Executor willing to coordinate with Valhalla rather than as one of Seol's subordinates. (Chapters 178, 182–183, 187)

In the final war Wu appears against Unsightly Humility, severs the Commander's arm, and delivers the blow that destroys his skull. He then attacks Exploding Patience with a greatsword temporarily empowered by Roselle's anti-spirit sorcery, later joining the mass assault on the Parasite Queen despite openly recognizing the gap in power. Wu survives and answers Seol's later summons when an enemy stronger than the Seven Sins threatens Paradise, showing that his coalition role continues after liberation. (Chapters 196, 199–200, 249)

Appearance and personality

Wu is a burly man whose body is covered in wounds. He laughs loudly, treats arguments among veteran fighters as familiar inconveniences, and speaks directly when a situation exceeds his expectations. His humor does not erase caution: he verifies the Imperial Oath barrier's strength and later recognizes that facing a god beyond the Seven Sins requires serious planning. Abilities and class

As the Star of Wrath, Wu is an Executor-level close-combat fighter who channels powerful energy through a greatsword. He can sever an Army Commander's limbs, destroy Unsightly Humility's skull, and help restrain the Parasite Queen. In one clash he can injure the incorporeal Exploding Patience only because Roselle places geometric anti-spirit runes on his blade; that effect is external support, not a permanent innate property demonstrated elsewhere. Wu also refers to using a Thunder against the Imperial Oath barrier, but the scene does not establish that he personally created the weapon. (Chapters 182, 196, 199–200)

Relationships

  • Seol Jihu: Wu cooperates with Seol's coalition in both the final war and the later emergency, while retaining his status as a separate Executor. (Chapters 178, 196, 199–200, 249)
