Introducing himself as “Mikhailov,” Mikhail agrees to the mission after learning that it may solve Ramman's long-running mystery rather than merely cull mutants. During the expedition he fights on the front line, encourages Seol when the investigation appears stalled, and insists that the team chose the risk for itself rather than placing the entire burden on its new leader. Mikhail's optimism helps drive the group into the concealed laboratory, where the Nest eventually incapacitates him and Veronika.
