Kim Soohyun
Kim Soohyun is an Earth resident known to the Fallen Angels as the Martial God. He lives near Seol Jihu, possesses powers and history extending beyond Paradise, and holds the authority to decide whether the Fallen Angels may return to the Celestial Realm.
Biography
The Fallen Angels' appeal
The Fallen Angels ask Seol to contact Kim because he had defeated, stripped, and exiled them after their role in his own suffering. Seol eventually meets him at the ramen restaurant and asks only for a definitive answer, not forced forgiveness. Kim says he had intended never to forgive them, but changes his decision after the encounter and promises to return them to the Celestial Realm. The choice is explicitly Kim's; Seol acts as messenger and moral catalyst rather than exercising authority over him. (Chapters 212–218)
Kim subsequently appears as Seol's neighbor at SY Apartments, presenting an ordinary friendly manner despite his otherworldly identity. His household follows a rule against interfering with other worlds, and Mercedes cites his strict command when declining to intervene. Kim later accompanies a friend to Seol's restaurant and tries to calm a dispute over a sentient spear, confirming that he remains active and in contact with Seol after the Fallen Angel matter. (Chapters 234, 249, and 252)
Appearance and personality
Kim is an unusually handsome man with neat hair, kind eyes, and well-formed masculine features. He dresses simply in a white T-shirt and jeans at the restaurant and wears a suit when returning from work. His courteous, somewhat awkward manner contrasts with the fear attached to his Martial God title; he apologizes readily and appears unable or unwilling to dominate every member of his household. (Chapters 218, 234, and 252)
Abilities and class
Kim uses the Third Eye, which withdraws when it encounters Seol's automatically activated Nine Eyes. He carries sentient artifacts, recalls splitting the Parasite Queen's divinity, and has authority over the Fallen Angels' return. Other characters describe cosmic-scale accomplishments, but the supplied corpus does not provide his formal class, numbered rank, Status Window, or a complete boundary on his power. (Chapters 212, 216, and 218)
Relationships
- Seol Jihu: Seol approaches Kim on behalf of the Fallen Angels. Kim respects Seol's refusal to dictate forgiveness, changes his decision after their conversation, and later interacts with him as a neighbor and fellow custodian of sentient weapons. (Chapters 212–218, 234, and 252)
- Goh Yeonju: Goh Yeonju is identified as one of Kim's wives and appears with him as Seol's neighbor. The corpus does not develop their private relationship beyond household and apartment scenes. (Chapters 212, 218, and 234)
- Mercedes: Mercedes serves within Kim's household and follows his command not to interfere in other worlds. She helps Seol gain access to the household but does not override Kim's final authority. (Chapters 216, 218, and 249)
- Suna: Suna is a member of Kim's household whose reaction helps challenge Seol's cooking during his attempt to reach the Martial God. The supplied scenes do not state a separate formal title for her relationship to Kim. (Chapters 216 and 218)
Items
- Third Eye: Kim's observation ability attempts to inspect Seol but retreats before the Nine Eyes. The scene establishes interaction between the abilities without fully explaining their scope. (Chapter 218)
- Zero Code and Excalibur: Kim carries a sentient blue orb and sword that converse or react independently. They are not linked here because the supplied manifest provides no item-article targets for this page. (Chapter 218)
