Haeya

Haeya is a young Foxman and Haeryeo's younger sister. Poachers capture her after the sisters stray into forbidden territory, but Seol Jihu's expedition recovers her and returns both children to the Federation.

Biography

Captivity, rescue, and a new home

Haeya follows her older sister toward the Pagoda of Dreams, where the two become lost after crossing into forbidden ground. A band of poachers overtakes them and keeps Haeya bound as Haeryeo escapes. When the pursuers encounter Seol's expedition, their leader surrenders Haeya rather than risk a fight, allowing the sisters to reunite. Haeya then becomes quickly attached to Seol, playing with him during the journey and clinging to him when the Federation arrives, before finally returning to her worried mother. The sisters also require the Federation's help because entering the forbidden ground has exposed them to a contagious curse. (Chapters 107–108)

Haeya later appears safe beneath the revived World Tree, celebrating the Federation's victory with Haeryeo and other children. When the Federation settles in Eva, the sisters arrive holding hands and speak hopefully about the human city being safer. Appearance and personality
