Nevermore the Architect

Nevermore the Architect is the Bound God and living personification of the World Wonder Nevermore. In the temporary role of Architect, she evaluates creations made in the House of the Architect Challenge Dungeon and administers rewards and personal domains.

Biography

Jake’s creation evaluation

Jake sought the Architect because he feared that submitting Bloodline-linked creations would expose his secrets. She privately revealed herself as Nevermore, a former dungeon core whose existence makes the World Wonder function as it does, and assured him that even the Wyrmgod could not freely observe their meeting. Jake immediately tested her framework by submitting their conversation itself as his first Creation, a novel choice she accepted. (Chapter 806)

At the end of Jake’s Challenge Dungeon, Nevermore reviewed his work in context rather than by absolute rankings, identified the House’s accumulated crafting Records as part of its benefit, and observed system restrictions around Bloodlines and Transcendent Skills. She judged Jake’s influence on Temlat’s Path as a genuine creation despite Jake’s objections, completed his evaluation, and helped configure the personal Nevermore domain awarded by her Mark. (Chapters 828, 829)

Appearance and personality

Nevermore uses an androgynous humanoid female form with ashen-gray skin, a bald tattooed head, a tight suit, one sun-gold eye, and one void-black eye. Her gaze feels unnaturally penetrating to Jake. She is perceptive, dryly humorous, patient with unusual questions, and willing to bend presentation rules, while remaining firm about information the system forbids her to reveal. (Chapters 806, 828, 829)

Path, class, and abilities

As a Bound God, Nevermore is directly linked to the World Wonder and the system. She can suppress outside observation inside her Challenge Dungeon, analyze creations and their crafting journeys, summon projections, teleport participants, and configure system-supported personal domains. Her House contains accumulated Records from C-grade crafters, raising participants’ potential without granting ordinary experience. (Chapters 806, 828, 829)

Her authority is broad but not unlimited. System rules prevent her from disclosing protected Bloodline and Transcendent information even to the person who submitted it, and Jake’s instincts can still detect or infer secrets she would prefer to keep hidden. Her latest demonstrated role remains administration of Nevermore rather than independent activity outside the World Wonder. (Chapters 806, 828)

Relationships

  • Jake Thayne: Nevermore evaluates his creations, recognizes his unusual instincts, and provides unusually candid but bounded feedback. (Chapters 806, 828, 829)
  • Minaga: Both serve roles within Nevermore, and the Architect is aware of Minaga’s disclosures and complaints about Jake’s performances. (Chapters 806, 829)

Items

The Architect awards a Mark and configures domains, but no personal item owned by her is included in the finalized item scope.
