Helen
Helenstromoz Emberflight is a young red dragonkin of the Emberflight lineage. She acts as a diplomatic representative and information-seeker as major factions try to understand Jake Thayne and his Bloodline.
Biography
Investigating the new Chosen
Helen approaches Jake at the Order as the Emberflight family’s young mistress, openly acknowledging that her family wants to identify his Bloodline and determine whether a closer relationship is possible. She remains patient when he refuses details, explains enough of her own mixed draconic and elven heritage to keep the exchange reciprocal, and later helps turn informal inquiries into a formal Emberflight meeting. Her efforts around Meira and Izil show the political edge of that curiosity: she is willing to gather information through peripheral relationships, but she operates through conversation and family influence rather than coercion. (Chapters 428, 434–435, 602–605)
Helen later becomes part of the political value attached to Draskil, whose persistent interest in her creates a personal connection between Emberflight and people close to Jake. She does not simply disappear into that role: when Emberflight arrives on Earth, she appears as a level 298 representative in her own right, still young by dragonkin standards but trusted to participate in the delegation. Her latest confirmed position therefore combines lineage diplomacy with a developing personal relationship rather than resolving either one completely. (Chapters 641–642, 796, 1113)
Appearance and personality
Helen is a female red dragonkin with a tail; the narration does not fix more detailed facial features or clothing. She is proud of Emberflight and accustomed to status, yet patient enough to accept evasive answers and continue building a connection over time. Her manner is politically calculating without being openly hostile, and she responds to Draskil’s courtship with cautious receptiveness rather than either immediate commitment or rejection.
Path, class, and abilities
- Inherited Bloodline: Helen is the daughter of a dragon and an elf, and her Bloodline merges elements inherited from both parents. The precise name and full mechanics are withheld by lineage oaths.
- Fire and time: She states that the merged Bloodline supports manipulation of fire magic, the concept of flames, and the concept of time. These are affinities and conceptual directions, not a fully demonstrated combat kit in the supplied chapters.
- Lineage progression: Her “stromoz” name marks descent from a True Dragon. By Chapter 1113 she is level 298 and near the end of C-grade, but the story does not show her evolution or establish the costs of individual abilities.
- Limits: Helen cannot freely disclose her Bloodline’s details, and no direct battle supplies evidence for range, resource costs, or signature techniques. Her latest demonstrated strength is therefore her level, heritage, and diplomatic authority rather than a speculative spell list.
Relationships
- Jake Thayne: Helen initially treats Jake as a mystery whose Bloodline could matter to Emberflight. Their cordial but guarded exchanges give her family a weak political connection to him, not control over him.
- Draskil: Draskil pursues Helen over time. She is somewhat receptive, and their developing relationship becomes relevant to Emberflight’s connection with Jake’s circle.
- Meira: Helen’s network probes around Meira and Izil for information about Jake, illustrating how her diplomatic curiosity can reach through less powerful contacts.
