Dina

Dina, formally introduced as Dinaldria, is a dryad druid descended from Nature's Attendant and Yggdrasil. She joins Jake's Nevermore party as its healer, gradually becomes a confident combatant and trusted friend, and later represents the Pantheon of Life during its growing exchange with the Order of the Malefic Viper. (Chapters 651, 894, and 1194)

Biography

Minaga's Labyrinth

Dina entered the story as Nature's Attendant's sheltered granddaughter, a gifted but socially inexperienced druid whom he proposed as the fifth member of Jake's party. She knew that factions hoped proximity to the Malefic Viper's Chosen might create a political or romantic bond and initially distrusted the arrangement, but accepted under her grandfather's encouragement. In Nevermore she quickly earned the group's respect by asking a forest to locate objectives, then defeated a stronger floor boss through patient planting, control, and a lethal internal bloom, proving she was far more than a passive healer. (Chapters 651, 658, and 661)

The Floor Climb and Challenge Dungeons

Across the main floor climb, Dina supplied healing, battlefield restraint, plant soldiers, tactical knowledge, and some of the party's strongest defenses. She learned to speak more freely, joined the group's jokes, and trusted companions who distributed rewards by need rather than political calculation. Her durable bond with Bobo let her brute-force Minaga's trap room without taking personal damage, while the party's decades together transformed her initial wariness into close friendship. When the run ended, she returned to them despite mixed feelings about leaving home and the political expectations surrounding her. (Chapters 666–713, 699, and 883)

Hunting Grounds and B-grade Evolution

Back home, Dina judged the Nevermore expedition by the friends she had gained rather than the matchmaking plan she had feared. She identified the Sword Saint as the companion closest to her, valued Sylphie's uncomplicated affection, respected the Fallen King's protective conduct, and regarded Jake as a friend rather than a prospective partner. Yggdrasil examined the change produced by prolonged proximity to Jake and later guided her personally; Dina continued training with the Sword Saint, then accepted responsibility as temporary mortal representative of the Pantheon delegation traveling to the Order, turning her cross-faction friendship into an institutional role. (Chapters 894–895, 1097–1098, and 1194)

Appearance and personality

Dina appears as a young woman in her late teens or early twenties with light-green skin, small antlers, and long green hair formed from thin flowering vines. She initially hides most of her semi-plant body beneath a baggy robe and cloak. In battle, that covering gives way to the living wooden protection of Bobo, which covers her torso and thighs and can grow additional limbs, shields, and weapons. (Chapters 651 and 661)

She begins meek, private, and visibly embarrassed by attention, in part because her inherited status made it difficult to know whether peers cared about her or her family. Dina nevertheless shows firm judgment once she understands a problem, genuine pride in her expertise, concern for wounded companions, and a quiet competitive drive. Decades in Nevermore make her more articulate and comfortable with banter without erasing her reserve. (Chapters 651, 661, 686, and 894)

Path, class, and abilities

Dryad lineage, Bloodline, and plant communion

Dina is the biological daughter of a dryad god and an S-grade half-dryad, a descendant of Yggdrasil, and an inheritor of part of Nature's Attendant's Bloodline. The Bloodline lets her communicate with plants in a manner others cannot detect and ask rather than compel them to assist. Cooperative forests can disclose locations, move objectives through connected vines, and reveal hidden routes, but the technique depends on suitable living plants and their willingness. Her dryad body offsets the usual environmental weakness of a plant specialist: she can grow vines and other plant structures directly from herself, though creating material where none exists still demands her own resources. (Chapters 651, 658, and 661)

Life magic, healing, and destructive growth

As a druid trained from childhood by Nature's Attendant, Dina converts nature and life energy into healing, enhancement, restraint, and attack. She can restore allies during sustained fights and later demonstrates enough diagnostic control to inspect the Fallen King's complex vessel and explain how its life energy and mana conversion affect repair. Her offensive green bolts carry will-empowered life energy that orders living tissue to destroy itself, producing spreading rot; a large health pool and rapid regeneration can resist that effect. Seeds delivered by spears, vines, or Bobo can remain hidden in a target before erupting into invasive growth, while elementals and unusual vessels require specialized healing rather than ordinary biological assumptions. (Chapters 661, 683, 1153, and 1247)

Bobo, defense, and battlefield control

Bobo is Dina's living Guardian and best friend, given to her by Nature's Attendant when she was young. He normally forms wooden armor around her, can extend spider-like limbs and shields, block physical and magical attacks automatically, absorb a soul attack, and anchor to Dina so strongly that a trap attempting to teleport him away immediately returns him. Dina combines his defense with roots, vine soldiers, plant telekinesis, a shape-changing staff, and a scythe form, allowing her to hold targets in place or fight at close range. Bobo and her own body solve many environmental constraints, but neither makes her invulnerable; high-output attacks, resource expenditure, and foes without ordinary living anatomy demand adaptation. (Chapters 661 and 699)

Her later state shows continued progression rather than a new disclosed class. Yggdrasil gives her occasional personal guidance, Nature's Attendant presses her training so she can keep pace with her generation, and she gains levels through fighting alongside Pantheon talents and the Sword Saint. By the latest material, she remains a versatile healer, defensive specialist, and life mage whose magic can aid even nonstandard beings such as the Fallen King. (Chapters 1097, 1153, 1194, and 1247)

Relationships

  • Nature's Attendant: Dina's grandfather raised and trained her, gave her Bobo, and arranged her Nevermore opportunity. His pride and protectiveness sometimes embarrass her, but she trusts him enough to accept the dangerous expedition he recommends.
  • Yggdrasil: Dina descends from Yggdrasil's lineage. The Primordial personally examines the change Nevermore caused in her and subsequently gives her occasional guidance.
  • Sword Saint: The Sword Saint helps Dina integrate into the party and becomes the companion she feels closest to, partly because his calm, grandfatherly bearing resembles Nature's Attendant. They later train and hunt together in the Pantheon of Life.
  • Jake Thayne: Dina initially approaches Jake under unwanted political expectations, but prolonged cooperation produces mutual respect and a close platonic friendship. She trusts his ability to find victory and later helps connect him to Nature's Attendant's living-weapon craft.
  • Sylphie: Dina regards Sylphie with uncomplicated affection and strongly resents the idea of anyone mistreating her. Their shared nature-aligned magic and time in Nevermore reinforce an easy friendship.
  • Fallen King: The King watches over Dina in battle despite his abrasive manner. She reciprocates that trust through healing expertise, concern over his apparent death, and close examination of his restored vessel.
