Misteltein

Misteltein is Kim Suho's signature god-slaying weapon, first found as an ordinary-looking branch and progressively awakened into a holy sword.

History

Branch and first awakening

Kim Suho receives the branch after defeating the Swordsman of Destruction. Hajin identifies it as the unawakened Misteltein and applies Butterfly Seedling Dust. The branch turns black and sheds a leaf; Hajin then gives the awakened weapon to Suho while keeping the leaf. The leaf is later refined by Yoo Yeonha into god-slaying ammunition. (Chapters 84, 86, and 118)

Growth with the Sword Saint

Misteltein develops with Suho's character and accomplishments. The Greed of Accomplishment strengthens it when he overcomes difficulties and changes its form according to his character, whose direction is appraised as overwhelmingly righteous. It evolves from branch toward sword, serves as a catalyst for Suho's large-scale techniques, carries the power of wish against Orden, and remains in his hands during and after the campaign against Baal. (Chapters 143, 244, 299, 340, 361, and 374)

Abilities and properties

• A divine, god-slaying weapon whose form awakens from branch toward sword as Suho grows and cuts demonic energy. (Chapter 86)
• Greed of Accomplishment makes it stronger when its wielder overcomes difficult situations and aligns its form with his character. (Chapter 143)
• Functions as a catalyst for Sword Saint techniques and can carry external amplification or wish power. (Chapters 244 and 299)
