Morax

Morax is the gigantic Devil who destroyed Akatrina and later descends on Earth using Puharen's soul as an incarnation host.

Biography

Descent and destruction

Morax descends from a summoning pentagram beside Baal, and the mere placement of the giant's legs crushes terrain and shatters barriers prepared by the Heroes. The Devil's scale turns the battlefield into a slaughter until the arriving coalition can divide the enemy's attention. Jin Sahyuk recognizes Morax as the being connected to Akatrina's destruction and takes responsibility for confronting him, while Shin Jonghak and other allies help survive his immense physical attacks. The battle becomes more than revenge when Sahyuk realizes that her half-brother Puharen remains trapped inside the Devil as its host. (Chapters 345–347, 350–353, 359–360)

The loss of his host

Sahyuk enters the inner conflict surrounding Morax and reaches Puharen's soul. Instead of destroying her brother with the Devil, she takes him into her own heart, adapting what she learned from Shin Jonghak's bond with his ancestor. Once deprived of the soul anchoring his incarnation, Morax can no longer maintain the gigantic body and crumbles. His defeat therefore comes from severing the human life he exploited, not merely overpowering his demonic strength. (Chapters 362–363)

Appearance and personality

Morax is a colossal Devil whose body dwarfs conventional fighters and devastates the landscape simply by arriving. He acts as an embodiment of blunt ruin, relying on scale and power more than negotiation. (Chapters 346–347, 350–353, 360)

Gifts and abilities

He possesses enormous demonic energy, overwhelming physical force, and the durability expected of a highly ranked Devil. Puharen's trapped soul anchors his incarnation, making that host both the source and critical vulnerability of his earthly body. (Chapters 345–347, 350–353, 360–363)

Relationships

Morax descends as part of Baal's attack. Puharen is his involuntary host, and Jin Sahyuk becomes his principal opponent because she recognizes and rescues the soul within him. (Chapters 345–347, 350–363)
