Kaita

Kaita is the Chameleon Troupe's Seat of Silver, a loud and persistent combatant whose steel wires distinguish him from the group's other fighters. Repeated deaths in the Tower of Wish become an embarrassment, but he later proves indispensable when a mission traps several people in a reconstruction of Korea's past.

Deaths in the Tower

Kaita joins the Chameleon Troupe as its new Silver Seat and enters the Tower of Wish, where Kim Suho's party initially knows him only as a loud bald man. His repeated clashes with Suho end badly: Tower death lets him return, but Suho kills him several times and other troupe members discuss avenging him. Kaita nevertheless keeps rejoining his companions and later adds his wires to their combined assault on Vast Expanse. (Chapters 189–259)

Escape from the recorded past

During the Yi Yeonjun investigation, Kaita is swept into a virtual reproduction of Korea's past. Because his steel wires are unique, their presence exposes him to the other trapped participants, who initially distrust his explanation. He has already spent three years researching the world, however, and discovers the method by which everyone can escape. He later helps Jin Yohan and Khalifa carry Boss and Jain to safety and remains among the members working with the Chameleon Troupe after the final war. (Chapters 312–365)

Appearance and personality

Kaita is a bald man known for a loud voice and an abrasive manner. Other characters often find him suspicious even when he is telling the truth, but his willingness to keep returning after defeat shows considerable persistence. Further physical details are not established. (Chapters 200 and 313–314)

Gifts and abilities

No named Gift is established for Kaita. He fights primarily with steel wires, using numerous strands to fill and control an enclosed space and to join coordinated attacks. The corpus does not explain whether the wires are ordinary equipment, magically controlled weapons, or part of an unnamed ability. (Chapters 259 and 312–314)
