Aranju Dolan is the second daughter of Yubaim Dolan and the queen who surrenders Danyum to Black Scale. Lacking dynastic legitimacy and rejected by her country’s former god, she allies with the Wizard Yan to build a neutral center of power.

Queen between two gods

After Babica murders her father and weakens Danyum’s command, Aranju moves faster than either the regent or Crampus expects. She takes the throne, disarms the capital, and admits Vasen Lak Orazen’s army without bloodshed, choosing national survival over continuation of a lost war. That decision ends the old royal line and makes her a target for followers of the Limitless God. Aranju requests a small Black Scale escort, suppresses conspirators, and faces divine rejection when Crampus publicly denies her. Rather than convert to Night Sky or surrender to religious rebels, she accepts Yan’s argument that magic can give ordinary people power independent of gods. With Wizard support she wins nobles, captures hostile priests, and preserves Danyum as a neutral polity. (Chapters 121–146)
