Shaohui

Shaohui is a Wu-Gui Lesser Yin immortal temporarily serving the Supreme Yin Court, carrying a Dao lineage from the demonic sparrow Fuyu while living under a new form and with only vague memories of that former life.

Biography

A New Shape for an Old Lesser Yin

Fuyu was a demonic sparrow who cultivated Lesser Yin arts and eventually reached the Purple Mansion Realm. After her soul entered the Immortal Mirror, Lu Jiangxian shaped her into the fairy Shaohui and restored her Lesser Yin title and Dao lineage, while her memories remained vague. Shaohui herself explains that she returned neither by reincarnation nor cultivation, but ahead of time. She accepted a post from Zhen’gao, serving the Supreme Yin Court while retaining her place in the Wu-Gui Lesser Yin seat. (Chapters 1141–1142)

A Quiet Post and Limited Means

Zhen’gao assigned Shaohui a remote pavilion and oversight of nearby Immortal Officials, a nominal post that suited her preference for quiet cultivation. She became Dangjiang’s superior and helped him navigate palace duties, but was candid that she could not arrange every problem for him. Her earlier work compiling the Majestic Gui Yin-Seizing Divine Scroll shows the limits of her own path: the method can reach the Purple Mansion Realm, but her ability to advance it farther is limited. (Chapters 1142, 1221, 1291 and 1309–1311)

Aid during a Change in the Heavens

Shaohui later helps Chi Buzi after he earns merit by locating a hidden refuge, presenting a technique and the Dao-Encouraging Yin-Soul Profound Blade as a chance to survive. When the celestial signs change, she reports that she and the other palace officials have been ordered to watch for intervention by a True Monarch or higher power. She continues to balance that broad duty with the quieter work of assessing merit and advising those under her care. (Chapters 1461–1462)

Appearance and personality

Shaohui wears tea-white robes and carries a pale mark between her brows. She is steady, dignified, and content with solitude, though her former sparrow nature gives her a playful streak. (Chapters 1142 and 1221)

Abilities and cultivation

Shaohui retains Lesser Yin arts and knowledge associated with Fuyu’s former Dao lineage. She compiled the fourth-grade Majestic Gui Yin-Seizing Divine Scroll, which culminates in the Sunken Fragrance state; her own limitations place the method’s reach at the Purple Mansion Realm. She also assesses changes in the celestial signs and reports the danger they may signal. (Chapters 1141–1142, 1291 and 1462)
