Fei Chingyi
Fei Chingyi is a Cold Essence cultivator whose effort to secure the Fei Family’s future draws him into the conflict around Moongaze Lake. (Chapters 1198, 1314)
Biography
Seeking a place for the Fei Family
Chingyi seeks an Essence Gathering Pill as he prepares to attempt Foundation Establishment, but the allocation is subject to Moongaze Lake’s rules rather than his relative Fei Qingyi’s discretion. By Chapter 1314 he has reached Foundation Establishment. With the Fei Family weakened by the north–south conflict, he turns to Fei Tongcai and the Li family for support, accepting a protector’s post and trying to preserve his clan’s standing while it remains dependent on stronger powers. (Chapters 1198, 1314, 1417)
The northern-bank battle
When the fighting reaches the northern bank, Chingyi admits that he had saved himself rather than the Fei cultivators trapped in a formation. He nevertheless argues that the family must protect the bank and its people; when devil cultivators attack, he takes up his weapon and joins the defense. They swallow most of his body and carry him away, but he is later brought back gravely injured. Li Jiangqian orders three generations of his family bound and handed to the Supreme Yang Dao lineage; the later fate of Chingyi and his family is unknown. (Chapters 1437–1438, 1441–1442)
Appearance and personality
Chingyi is described as exceptionally handsome and refined, usually dressed in white. His Cold Essence cultivation gives him a chilly, stern air. He is deferential toward the Li authorities, but the battle reveals both fear for his own life and a willingness to fight when his family and the northern-bank residents are in immediate danger. (Chapters 1198, 1314, 1437–1438)
Abilities and cultivation
Chingyi cultivates Cold Essence and reaches Foundation Establishment by Chapter 1314. In battle he rides the wind with a sword and uses an unnamed dharma artifact against the devil cultivators. No personal technique or more specific cultivation method is known. (Chapters 1314, 1438)
