Biography
A perceptive aide in family service
Introduced as a guard from the royal family of Northern Mount Yue, Guang is alert to both the value of objects and the motives of those handling them. When Li Zhouluo assigns him a top-grade Foundation Establishment artifact for appraisal, Guang first seeks confirmation that Zhouluo is not claiming it; Zhouluo directs him to take it to an elder instead and tells him to report to the main hall for the next two years before following him. Guang later inspects another offered artifact and reports that it shows no sign of blood sacrifice, while also carrying urgent messages and helping Zhouluo manage the competing demands of relatives and allied families. (Chapters 1186, 1198–1201)
Choosing to follow Zhouluo south
As the island’s affairs grow more tense, Guang handles sensitive business for Zhouluo, including inspecting a command token, summoning envoys, and clearing the hall under Zhouluo’s instruction. He also recognizes that Zhouluo’s time in authority may be ending. Though he understands that following the family head could bring him advancement, Guang says he has earned the blessing of serving at Zhouluo’s side; Zhouluo accepts the sincerity of the offer. Guang accompanies him south, and later remains known as Zhouluo’s loyal retainer. (Chapters 1215–1217, 1231, 1246, 1336)
Appearance and personality
Guang is young when introduced and serves as a guard from Mount Yue. He speaks respectfully, waits silently in Zhouluo’s hall until a report is needed, and quickly notices both family tensions and the head’s impending departure. (Chapters 1186, 1198, 1200, 1231)
Abilities and cultivation
Guang’s cultivation realm and named combat techniques are unknown. His demonstrated strengths are administrative: he assesses whether an entrusted artifact shows signs of blood sacrifice, checks a command token, keeps messages moving, and reads the changing position of the family head. When he follows the older Li Xuanxuan, the difference in their cultivation leaves him drenched with sweat, but Guang’s exact stage remains unknown. (Chapters 1199, 1212, 1215, 1231)
Relationships
- Li Zhouluo: His family head and trusted employer. Zhouluo gives him increasingly sensitive duties, and Guang chooses to accompany him to the Southern Sea. (Chapters 1186, 1231, 1246)
- Dili Youjie: His senior relative in the Dili Family. Later dialogue identifies Guang as Youjie’s junior and a loyal retainer to Zhouluo. (Chapter 1336)
- Li Xuanxuan: An elder whom Guang follows during an urgent visit; Xuanxuan’s faster cultivation briefly outpaces him. (Chapter 1212)
Items
Guang handles artifacts, bamboo messages, and command tokens as part of his service, but none is identified as his personal possession. His work with the top-grade Foundation Establishment artifact and Wang-family command token is administrative custody for Zhouluo. (Chapters 1186, 1215)
