Viru

Viru, known as the Star Slasher and Fixed Star Splitter, is a Beyond Grade A Pugilist from the Primeval Star River who operates tens of thousands of dojos in the Central Galaxy. His attempt to test Han Xiao helps establish the newcomer within the Crimson Dynasty's senior circle.

Biography

The Evolution Cube and Crimson Dynasty

Viru joins other veteran dynasty allies in pressuring the newly advanced Han Xiao and questions whether a newcomer from the Shattered Star Ring deserves to speak as an equal. Han answers by challenging him directly. Viru's speed and cutting power tear through much of the mechanical army, but his lower resilience to Han's special damage and inability to overcome Han's regeneration turn the spar against him. Clotti intervenes and declares a draw to preserve appearances, though the witnesses understand that Han gained the advantage. Viru is embarrassed but accepts the valid result and asks for another spar rather than treating it as a permanent grievance. He later joins Han's coalition against EsGod, fighting the doppelgangers at close range despite accumulating serious injuries and showing that professional cooperation has replaced the initial hazing. The Flickering World

Viru's relationship with Han settles into familiar respect. Although he is close enough to Heber to understand the Tyrant's strength, he bets on Han in their duel and later treats Heber's defeat as painful evidence of how far Han has risen. When Silver Shadow enters the dynasty circle, Viru briefly repeats the same aggressive veteran performance once directed at Han, but he is no longer eager to fight the newcomer himself after remembering his own loss. His comments during Silver Shadow's duel show a combatant reassessing new talent through experience rather than assuming seniority guarantees victory. (Chapters 950–995)

Intelligent Plague and the Association

Viru continues attending Beyond Grade A gatherings and expresses regret that he could not witness Han's confrontation with Manison, while his standing becomes a benchmark for the plausible upper development of younger Pugilists. The corpus provides few character-centered scenes for him during the association's early years, but it later confirms his commitment to the united war effort: in Chapter 1437 he is alive and fighting in a coordinated Pugilist formation during the World Tree counteroffensive. That scene establishes his current-timeline survival without supplying a later retirement or death. (Chapters 1132, 1136, and 1437)

Appearance and personality

The corpus does not provide a stable account of Viru's species, face, clothing, or ordinary build. In combat his body burns with light-blue Pugilist flame, and he forms the energy into an enormous blade. He is proud, aggressive, and initially invested in the hierarchy among dynasty allies, but not dishonest about strength. Defeat leaves him embarrassed rather than vengeful, and he later jokes about it with the same peers. His willingness to join the EsGod operation and the final united formation also shows loyalty that extends beyond personal reputation. (Chapters 800–802, 887–893, and 994–995)

Abilities and class

Viru is a Beyond Grade A Pugilist of the War Soldier Branch, which channels personal Pugilist energy through blades rather than relying on mechanically enhanced weapons. He condenses a hundreds-of-meters-long blue energy sword, launches wide cutting waves, surrounds himself with a rotating blade barrier, and uses rapid movement to penetrate an army and engage its controller directly. Techniques such as Blade Shadow and Whip Slash emphasize speed, precision, and extremely high single-target cutting power. His offense can split heavily defended giant machinery, but his durability is lower than tank-focused peers such as Heber, and prolonged concentrated fire places him at a disadvantage. Relationships

• Han Xiao: Viru first tests Han as a presumptuous newcomer, loses the advantage in their spar, and later becomes a cooperative dynasty peer and battlefield ally.
• Clotti: Clotti stops Viru's spar with Han before the finishing barrage and calls it a draw, protecting Viru from a more public defeat.
• Heber: Viru is familiar with Heber's strength and sympathizes with him as a fellow Pugilist, while still betting that Han will win their duel.
• EsGod: Viru helps confront EsGod and cuts down numerous doppelgangers under cover of Han's mechanical army.
• Lotus Swordsman: Lotus Swordsman fights beside Viru against EsGod and later needles him over his loss to Han.
• Manison: Viru views Han's later battle with Manison as a historic event, but the two are not shown to have a close personal relationship.

Items

Viru uses a blade as the focus for his War Soldier Pugilist style, but the weapon is not given a persistent name or independent history. Its cutting force comes from Viru's own condensed Pugilist energy rather than an established artifact property. (Chapters 800–801 and 892–893)
