The Flickering World

Shazik establishes a neutral transit station in the Central Galaxy's dangerous desolate belt, outwardly paying Fallen Ark for protection while secretly bribing its members, sheltering enemies, and gathering intelligence against EsGod. After Han Xiao captures EsGod, Shazik resolves to serve the person who completed his life's revenge. His agents raid Fallen Ark research facilities during the ensuing collapse, and he presents part of EsGod's legacy as an entry gift. Han accepts him into the Army and assigns him to intelligence work.
