Neville

Neville is the captain of the Sunil military's B12 Defense Team. He receives Black Star's mercenaries, commands an iron defense line during the Catastrophe, and is killed while defending the city.

Biography

The Black Star Mercenary Group

Neville welcomes Han Xiao as the 1,432nd mercenary to join Sunil's defense and briefs the arrivals on the Catastrophe and Prophecy Stones. When the beast waves begin, he commands thirty B12 soldiers in NCO Class armor at the close-quarters defense line. A claw tears through his armor and disables it, but Han repairs the suit during battle and returns him to the fight. Neville later faces a Bone Armor War Elephant and witnesses the Black Star mercenaries destroy it from the sky. By the following day he has been killed in action; his shattered remains are returned to his wife, and his death leaves her to raise their young child with pension support. (Chapters 336–343 and 347–348)

Appearance and personality

The corpus gives no stable description of Neville's face or body. He speaks in a harsh, cold command tone and is characterized by an iron will, yet even he feels nervous before the charging war elephant. His conduct is disciplined and duty-bound, and his death becomes a concrete example of the cost borne by Sunil military families. (Chapters 336, 341–343, and 347–348)

Abilities and class

Neville is an experienced soldier and commander who directs a thirty-person crossfire line against the Catastrophe's beasts. He fights in NCO Class powered armor, which is damaged and repaired in the field. The corpus does not identify him as a particular Super class, give a grade, or name any personal technique. (Chapters 340–343)
