Ned

Ned is a lone superhero who works with Yang Dian to rescue a civilian exploration team in the Robert Forbidden Zone. Their compassion is exploited by the Louis Research Institution, and Han Xiao eventually exposes the deception after defeating them.

Biography

Escape from Germinal and the Aquamarine War

Ned and Yang Dian accept a rescue contract without hesitation because they admire the explorers' stated effort to cure the Death Virus. Mutated beasts trap and nearly kill them, but Han Xiao, disguised in the Viper suit, kills the Beast King and saves them. The pair continue the mission, find the explorers irreversibly mutated, and carry their specimen back while suffering further wounds. Believing the institution's claims, Ned later attacks Han to recover what he thinks is a stolen cure. Han defeats both heroes but spares them and supplies records proving the research concerns enhancement and bioweapons rather than a cure. Ned accepts the evidence, regrets misjudging their rescuer, and joins Yang Dian's angry confrontation with Kate. The corpus gives no later fate. (Chapters 174–183)

Appearance and personality

No stable physical description or clothing is supplied. Ned is earnest, brave, and compassionate to the point of naivety. When trapped, he and Yang Dian each initially offers to sacrifice the other before rejecting that choice and deciding to fight together; after learning the truth, Ned is willing to admit error and wishes he could apologize to Han. Abilities and class
