Malekith

Malekith, known as Broken Horn, is a Fire Demon Pugilist and one of Bloodshed Land's eight leading Vanguard Officials. A powerful and enthusiastic combatant serving Heber, he first tests Han Xiao as a potential recruit and later fights him during the Secret War.

Biography

Mutation Disaster and the Secret War

Malekith first delivers Bloodshed Land's invitation to Ames, enduring being thrown from her palace without injury. He later ambushes Han Xiao on a remote planet, not to assassinate him but to test his strength and offer him a place as a ninth Vanguard Official. The prolonged fight earns Malekith's respect, though Han Xiao rejects the recruitment attempt. Malekith subsequently helps escort Floating Dragon's party through Bloodshed Land and serves in the Secret War with the other Vanguard Officials. When Han Xiao challenges all eight, Malekith joins the attack after Fosters calls for assistance and is surprised that their combined assault still fails to break Black Star. The Evolution Cube and Crimson Dynasty

More than a decade after the attempted recruitment and following Han Xiao's rise to Beyond Grade A, Malekith visits the Black Star Army headquarters as Heber's messenger. He delivers an invitation to the Tyrant's gathering with visible strain and sweaty hands, conscious that the former prospect now stands at Heber's level and that the two organizations remain only uneasy allies. Han Xiao accepts, and Malekith leaves in relief. This is Malekith's last direct appearance and confirms that he survived the Secret War. (Chapter 787)

Appearance and personality

Malekith is a tall, muscular Demon with red skin, white pupils, and two black lines running from forehead to jaw. Curved horns grow from his forehead, but half of one is broken, producing his epithet. He wears extremely heavy plate armor and radiates hostility. Malekith is blunt, dutiful, confident, and battle-obsessed; a worthy opponent excites him, while Han Xiao's later promotion replaces his earlier ease with tension and caution. Abilities and class

Malekith is a Grade A, or Calamity Grade, Pugilist of Fire Demon ancestry. He possesses immense strength, high defense, rapid recovery, shockwave attacks, and close-combat combinations, all reinforced by combat-mode heavy armor. His high-grade True Liberation ignites dark flames, greatly increasing his speed, strength, and aura, while his racial nature grants strong fire resistance. Han Xiao can disrupt his combinations and knock him away but regards him as more powerful than several other Calamity Grades he previously fought. (Chapters 594–595, 607–608, and 613)

Relationships

• Heber: Malekith is a core officer under the Tyrant and carries out diplomatic, recruitment, and wartime orders on Bloodshed Land's behalf.
• Han Xiao: Malekith tests Han Xiao in battle, respects his strength, and tries to recruit him. He later fights Black Star in the Secret War and finally returns as a nervous messenger after Han Xiao reaches Beyond Grade A.
• Ames: Malekith delivers Heber's invitation to Ames despite Floating Dragon's hostility toward Bloodshed Land. She throws him out with her force field, but he is unhurt and completes the mission.

Items

Malekith wears a massive set of plate armor whose structure shifts into a combat mode during battle. The armor is not given a proper name, and no other persistent named personal item is established.
