Lu Qian, often addressed as Sister Qian, is the proprietor of a small Western Capital repair workshop, Old Man Lu's granddaughter, and Lu Cheng's daughter. She gives Han Xiao work and shelter soon after his escape, becoming one of his earliest civilian friends before disappearing during the Mutation Disaster.

Biography

Escape from Germinal and the Aquamarine War

Lu Qian meets Han Xiao when he asks to become her workshop apprentice and supports him through Old Man Lu's intentionally difficult entrance test. Impressed by his ability and pleased to gain inexpensive help, she gives him lodging, work, access to tools, and quiet assistance obtaining Mechanic books. She grows attached during their short time together and worries when Division 13 takes him away, then resents his unexplained disappearance. Almost a year later, Han Xiao returns in disguise while seeking Old Man Lu's blueprints. Lu Qian completes his commission, converses with him without openly identifying him, and smiles knowingly after he denies that they have met. (Chapters 21–28, 35–67, 122, and 291–292)

Mutation Disaster and the Secret War

During the Mutation Disaster, Lu Qian leaves the Western Capital and becomes uncontactable; the workshop remains shut and decays for years. When Han Xiao visits the abandoned site, he reasons that Old Man Lu's protection means she probably survived and that the two may have settled elsewhere. This is an informed belief, not a direct sighting or confirmation. Lu Qian therefore cannot be listed as dead, but her location and circumstances after Chapter 292 remain unknown. (Chapter 670)

Appearance and personality

Lu Qian is introduced as a pleasant-looking woman in her mid-twenties, about 1.65 meters tall, with fair skin, rosy cheeks, gentle eyes, and hair held back by a black clip. She wears practical workshop clothing, ties her hair back for welding, and has a warm, neighborly manner. She is hardworking, thrifty, hospitable, and protective of her home, with a playful curiosity and enough quiet authority to stop Old Man Lu and Han Xiao's arguments. Abilities and class

Lu Qian is an ordinary person with practical mechanical training rather than a documented Super. She repairs household equipment, works with machine parts and vehicles, welds commissioned pieces, understands basic designs, and manages the workshop's orders and accounts. Her skill is competent but grounded: she recognizes the difficulty of advanced prosthetics and readily understands that Han Xiao's performance exceeds her own experience. No combat ability or formal supernatural class is shown. (Chapters 21–28 and 291–292)

Relationships

  • Han Xiao: Lu Qian hires Han Xiao, houses and feeds him, helps him study, and comes to value his presence. His sudden departure hurts her, while their disguised reunion suggests she may recognize him despite accepting his denial.
  • Old Man Lu: Old Man Lu is Lu Qian's grandfather and housemate. She pushes back against his attempts to drive Han Xiao away, secretly lends out his books, and is believed to remain under his protection during the Mutation Disaster.
  • Lu Cheng: Lu Cheng is Lu Qian's father, who left her with Old Man Lu when she was only a few years old. The corpus establishes the relationship but does not show the two meeting directly.
