Kedan
Kedan is a former Godoran investigator whose abuse of authority helps cause decades of war on Planet Aquamarine. He and Angora impersonate official emissaries not for state policy but for amusement, relying on the credibility of their Godoran identity.
Biography
Mutation Disaster and the Secret War
After negligence costs him his job and leads to imprisonment, Kedan settles on Colony Planet Gautin. Information traced through his online identity lets Sky Ring capture him for Han. Under interrogation, he admits that he and Angora manipulated Planet Aquamarine as a private “sandbox,” inciting conflict because they found it entertaining and felt a weaker civilization posed no risk. Bennett and Hannes keep him alive while Han Xiao uses his testimony. Bun-Hit-Dog edits the confession into a public account of the Old Era. No final sentence, release, or death is shown. (Chapters 529–534)
Appearance and personality
Kedan is a fat Godoran with an initially amiable appearance. When threatened he becomes trembling, meek, and eager to talk, yet his confession shows anxiety without remorse for the lives destroyed. He is nostalgic about his past influence and casually treats planetary suffering as entertainment.
Abilities and class
No Super power or combat class is established. Kedan's consequential abilities came from Investigation Department access, knowledge of observation targets, and the authority associated with being a genuine Godoran. By his own account, the deception succeeded because no one questioned that status.
Relationships
- Han Xiao: Han traces, interrogates, and preserves Kedan as a source of information rather than immediately releasing or killing him.
- Bennett and Hannes: They learn from Kedan that the war shaping their lives arose from private cruelty, then use his confession before the Six Nations.
- Bun-Hit-Dog: Bun-Hit-Dog records Kedan's testimony and turns it into the narration of a historical video.
- Angora: Angora is Kedan's accomplice and later guide on Aquamarine. They are separate conspirators, not alternate names.
Items
No personal item is established. Han uses a lie detector and coercive device during the interrogation, but those devices do not belong to Kedan.
