Garoze

Garoze, nicknamed Leader of Colossuses, is a neutral Beyond Grade A Summoner who earns much of his income through protection work. His caution around peak Beyond Grade As repeatedly shapes his choices.

Biography

The Flickering World

Garoze accepts a Super Star Cluster contract to protect Modo's expedition fleet and initially intends to answer its call for help. Han Xiao privately orders him to stand aside, however, and Garoze decides that neither his own strength nor his unaffiliated organization can bear the cost of opposing Black Star. He watches the attack instead of fulfilling the contract, damaging Modo's confidence in him. Later commentary describes him as having reached his personal peak, but supplies no further detail about that limit. (Chapters 1011–1012, 1016, and 1030)

Intelligent Plague and the Association

Garoze joins the Beyond Grade A Association and helps raise the concern that direct members of the universal civilizations might attack neutral members despite association rules. He specifically seeks protection from Clotti, and Han promises to handle the political problem. The resulting order halting Clotti's mission improves Garoze's confidence in Black Star, even though Han partly stages the exchange for influence. (Chapter 1088)

The World Tree War

Garoze is identified as an association member who dies in a recent World Tree battle and is then revived through the Sanctums. He chooses the side of the current association members, accepts the benefits Han offers, and remains silent about the unlimited-revival deception because it protects their interests.
