The Ancestral Circlet of the Broken Ridge is the headpiece in Sam's blessing-linked equipment set for Randidly Ghosthound. Its Broken Ridge identity connects the equipment's embedded image to Alana Donal's southern blessing without making Alana its owner.

History

A Broken Ridge inheritance

Sam produces the circlet while translating the old directional blessings into equipment for Randidly. Its ancestral narrative arrives with a completeness that neither crafter nor recipient consciously designed, helping Randidly realize that the blessings contain malleable images and histories capable of shaping physical artifacts. Randidly's equipment set

Randidly equips the circlet with the Sun's Teardrop Belt, White-Steel Greaves, and Iradak's Tinglesilk Gloves for the Hound's Ladder. He later places it back among the pieces that define his familiar equipment after recovering his body. (Chapters 923, 980, and 1131)

Abilities and properties

• The Ancient, Level-69 circlet grants Health +300 and Vitality and Endurance +20. Its charcoal-like metal protects the wearer's forehead and temples without enclosing the head like a helmet. (Chapter 917)
• Without Flinching IV grants Resistance +40, while Warlord's Knack III grants Perception +20 and an instinct for ambushes and sneak attacks. (Chapter 917)
• Heritage of the Broken Ridge V opens otherwise inaccessible Paths and grants Strength, Agility, Reaction, and Willpower +25. (Chapter 917)
• The circlet carries an ancestral Broken Ridge image linked to the southern blessing that Randidly bestowed on Alana, but it remains a separate artifact rather than an extension of her. (Chapters 83 and 917–918)
