Alana Donal

Alana Donal is Expira's principal independent spear champion and commander. She begins as one of the fighters Randidly empowers during Earth's first crisis, then spends the rest of the story proving that receiving help need not mean permanent dependence. Her southern blessing matures into a Valkyrie image and a command role that carries Expira into Nexus-scale war. (Chapters 53, 83, 1470, and 2228)

Biography

Franksburg and the southern blessing

Alana is already a prominent Franksburg fighter when Randidly arrives while searching for Sydney and Ace. She does not wait for him to solve the settlement's boundary threats; she joins the fighting because protecting Franksburg is her responsibility. That willingness makes her a viable partner rather than a rescued civilian, and Randidly recognizes in her the discipline needed to carry one of his permanent directional bonds. (Chapters 53–83)

Accepting the Blessing of the South and Spear: Broken Ridge gives Alana power rooted in Randidly's intervention, but she immediately treats the gift as an obligation to develop. Her early Class and Soulskill choices coordinate spear combat, leadership, and survival rather than chase spectacle. The blessing links settlements through the four champions while leaving Franksburg's defense in the hands of someone who intends to earn the authority it confers. (Chapters 83–115)

Donnyton champion and independent leader

As Donnyton grows around Randidly's reputation, Alana works to ensure that its strength does not vanish whenever he leaves. She trains, fights in assessments, and becomes a martial authority among the Squads while Donny and Mrs. Hamilton handle other dimensions of leadership. Annie serves as a close battlefield companion, giving Alana a peer with whom coordination matters more than hierarchy. (Chapters 103–707)

The arrangement tests her reverence for Randidly. She respects the power and opportunity he provided, yet refuses to let gratitude define a permanent subordinate role. Building institutions, shared drills, and repeatable formation tactics is therefore part of her advancement: those choices convert an individual blessing into collective capacity. The challenge and the Valkyrie

When Randidly returns from Tellus, the Donnyton challenge gives Alana an opportunity to test whether Earth's champions have grown beyond his protection. She commands and fights through its escalating stages, pushing her Soulskill and image against Randidly and Helen despite the remaining gap. Failure to defeat them does not invalidate the effort; it supplies an honest measure of what Expira can do collectively and what still requires development. (Chapters 901–960)

Her Soulskill later develops into the Valkyrie of the Red Clay, an orange-gold image with luminous wings, ivory feathers, and focused spear force. The identity joins her beginnings on Earth's soil to the scale required by Nexus conflict. Rather than copying Randidly's imagery, Alana makes command and forward momentum the center of her own power, becoming visible proof that an early beneficiary can grow into an independent image practitioner. Vulpis Squad and the final Nexus defense

Nexus deployment requires Alana to carry Expira's interests into wars whose history and power systems were initially hidden from Earth. Grand Fates, the Pinnacle struggle, and Samsara threaten both the Nexus and the Alpha Cosmos, but Alana does not regress into passive reliance. She remains part of the organized resistance and helps preserve an independent Expira command structure after the citadel assault. By the endpoint, her alliance with Randidly is between established leaders whose scales differ enormously, fulfilling her long movement from blessed follower to trusted peer-commander. Appearance and personality

Alana is an athletic spear fighter strongly associated with red clay and orange-gold image force. Her mature manifestation includes a metal Valkyrie helmet with miniature white wings, vast luminous golden wings, and drifting ivory feathers. The visual language is grounded in momentum and command rather than ornate armor: she appears most characteristically driving forward with a spear while coordinated fighters move behind her. She is duty-driven, competitive, courageous, and direct. Alana reveres Randidly without treating reverence as obedience, and her fiercest internal pressure comes from wanting to justify the strength she received. Valkyrie of the Red Clay

The Valkyrie image manifests orange-gold force, luminous wings, ivory feathers, a winged helmet, and powerful spear pressure. It supports aerial movement, battlefield inspiration, and high-output attacks, although its precise energy cost and maximum range are not consistently quantified. The image follows an earlier Soulskill evolution and becomes clearer through elite competition, showing that sustained leadership and combat have produced an identity distinct from the blessing's original form. Alana's command ability is earned through Franksburg and Donnyton rather than awarded as a single decisive Skill.
