Vualla (projected incarnation)

Vualla is an azure-haired frontline fighter whom Ileot Swacc creates from the pattern of the original Vualla. She first meets Randidly Ghosthound in the Great Rift, where shared combat and a shared ambition to destroy the System grow into love. Learning that she is projected does not erase that life: Vualla insists upon her own choices, resists the original consciousness's attempt to direct her, and leaves to build a future that belongs to her. (Chapters 1061, 1065, 1138, 1221, and 1235)

Biography

Comrade at the Great Rift

Vualla meets Randidly while he inhabits the Grim Chimera, greeting the strange combatant with an easy wave despite the immense iron gauntlets covering her slender arms. Her curiosity about his body and spear technique is practical rather than fearful, reflecting the courage that keeps her fighting along the Great Rift under Lady Iellaya. She treats him as a fellow warrior before knowing his history, establishing a relationship grounded in mutual capability instead of rank. (Chapters 1061–1065)

That trust deepens when a distressed Vualla plans an unauthorized walk beyond camp and Randidly accompanies her. She admits that her ultimate goal is to destroy the System; when he reveals the same ambition, they turn it into a friendly race rather than a reason for suspicion. Months of frontline danger make the promise consequential. After Randidly's long subjective absence in the Rift, a battered Vualla greets him with relief and chooses to keep fighting for everyone even with one arm badly injured. (Chapters 1065 and 1129)

A projected life and a chosen relationship

The discovery that Vualla is a duplicate forces her to ask whether she is real, and she refuses comforting words that avoid the danger. Randidly answers that his treatment of her will not change, but Vualla presses him to confront the possibility that her image may fade or that her feelings were arranged by another hand. Their kiss follows that difficult recognition, not a denial of it; their mutual desire to destroy the Nexus even produces a resonant Nether Ritual between them. (Chapter 1138)

Ileot confirms that he reproduced Vualla with Lord Miln's Aether and maintained her through a duplicated subordinate core intended to guide her back to him. When that structure is damaged, he uses the risk of Aether friction and collapse to pressure Randidly. Vualla nevertheless finds evidence that she is changing on her own: her wounded Fate heals during sleep, while the ancient Fate glove Randidly gives her feels simultaneously familiar and separate, an inheritance from another Vualla rather than the boundary of her identity. (Chapters 1139–1143)

Three Vualla continuities

The threat inside Vualla becomes explicit when the original consciousness, previously felt as a darkness draining her emotions, takes control of her body. The confrontation distinguishes three people produced from the same beginning: this newest Vualla; the original continuity later known as Edraine; and a separate, power-seeking Vualla-derived mind temporarily housed by Iellaya. The original credits the newest incarnation's intense emotions with waking her from despair, yet still tries to assign her a role in the struggle against Ileot. (Chapters 1191 and 1221)

Vualla rejects that assignment and proves that her autonomy is more than an argument. By her departure, she is strong enough to prevent the original mind from seizing her body again, and her physical-motion image can overpower Randidly's images during sparring. She embraces and kisses Randidly, then takes Ileot's apparent corpse both to help free the original Vualla and to report for Xyrt Brigade training. The choice preserves connection without surrendering her separate future. (Chapters 1221 and 1235)

Appearance and personality

Vualla has long, vivid azure hair, often worn in a braid, and bright azure eyes. Her slender arms contrast sharply with the massive iron gauntlets she controls, making precision and physical confidence central to her silhouette. Frontline combat leaves her wounded and bedraggled at times, but her most consistent visual impression is fluid movement under seemingly disproportionate weight rather than heavy, static armor. (Chapters 1061, 1065, and 1129)

She is brave, direct, competitive, and emotionally candid. Vualla can be playful with Randidly, but neither romance nor existential fear makes her passive: she challenges easy reassurance, worries about becoming dependent on borrowed strength, and chooses difficult fights for the sake of ordinary soldiers. Her deepest development is the conversion of uncertainty about her origin into a deliberate claim over what she feels, whom she loves, and where she goes next. (Chapters 1138, 1171, 1191, and 1235)

Abilities and progression

Vualla's combat style joins exceptional body control, immense gauntlets, and an image centered on physical motion. Her unusual embodiment also gives her a wounded but developing Fate, although the instability of the Aether structure behind her creation remains a distinct vulnerability rather than a combat advantage.

Heavy-gauntlet combat and physical motion

Vualla handles two huge iron gauntlets with enough precision to touch a face gently or redirect her full body into explosive attacks. Her mature image idealizes physical motion: speed, footwork, and force reinforce one another until her comparatively slight frame can contest much larger enemies. Against three Nether Heralds she combines ghostlike movement with repeated gauntlet strikes, holding all three for a time even as wounds accumulate. Numbers and sustained damage can still force her backward. (Chapters 1061, 1129, and 1209)

Her later sparring with Randidly demonstrates the image's disruptive strength. Vualla's motion routinely pushes through his competing images, bruises the Grim Chimera, extinguishes Ignition, and damages Yggdrasil through direct physical devastation. The technique is especially effective when she can translate uninterrupted movement into impact, but it is not invulnerability: her injured arm restricts her earlier choices, and prolonged pressure from several high-level opponents exceeds what technique alone can absorb. (Chapters 1129, 1209, and 1235)

Projected embodiment and Fate

Ileot constructs Vualla from the original woman's pattern with Aether supplied by Lord Miln, while one of his duplicated cores maintains and subtly steers the result. Damage to that support exposes her to Aether friction and the possibility of dissolution. This architecture explains outside influence without making every thought implanted; Vualla can recognize manipulation, oppose the consciousness sharing her body, and produce emotional commitments that Ileot did not control. (Chapters 1138–1142 and 1221)

Her damaged Fate slowly heals while she sleeps, giving concrete evidence that this incarnation can develop beyond the moment of creation. The ancient glove made from the original Vualla's Fate resonates with her yet does not match the Fate now growing inside her. That distinction is both a limitation and a form of freedom: her survival is precarious, but her changing significance resists the claim that she is merely a restored copy. (Chapters 1137–1143)

Battlefield judgment and limits

Vualla pairs direct combat with a strong instinct for the human stakes of a battlefield. Watching Randidly confront the Gatekeeper, she understands that he is accepting personal danger to protect common soldiers and wants to defy orders to aid him. This judgment supports decisive intervention, but it can also place her against command structures and in fights where her body is already damaged. She cannot simply ignore possession, Aether instability, or accumulated wounds; her growth lies in meeting those constraints consciously. (Chapters 1129, 1191, 1209, and 1235)

Relationships

  • Randidly Ghosthound: Frontline comrade, training partner, and lover who affirms her reality while accepting that she must choose her own future.
  • Edraine: The original Vualla continuity whose memories and Fate underlie Vualla's creation. Their shared beginning does not make them the same person.
  • Lady Iellaya: Vualla's frontline commander. Iellaya later hosts a different Vualla-derived mind, not the projected incarnation described here.
  • Ileot Swacc: Creator and manipulator who intends Vualla to return invested Aether, then tries to use her unstable embodiment as leverage.
  • Lord Miln: Provider of the Aether Ileot uses to create the projected incarnation.

Items

  • Massive iron gauntlets: Vualla's signature weapons, sized far beyond her slender arms but controlled with exceptional delicacy and force. (Chapters 1061, 1065, and 1209)
  • Vualla's Fate glove: An ancient glove made from the original Vualla's harvested Fate. Randidly gives it to this incarnation, who recognizes its familiarity while distinguishing it from her own healing Fate. (Chapters 1137–1143)
