Nathan grows from one of Donnyton’s youngest survivors into a specialist able to diagnose damaged Classes and advise others approaching Fate. (Chapters 65, 1029, and 2199)

Biography

A child gardener becomes a Class specialist

At eight years old, Nathan weeds Donnyton’s fields beside his twin Kiersty and shows unusual kindness by sheltering Razor. Randidly later uses him during an Aether experiment whose rapid growth has dangerous side effects, linking Nathan’s development to the structures behind Classes. As a teenager he can identify severe damage within Randidly’s Class and becomes a destination for people nearing Level 50; by adulthood, Aether Engravings glitter in his eyes as he celebrates transforming his own Class. Appearance and personality

Nathan first appears as a serious eight-year-old and later as a young man. His clearest recurring late trait is the visible glitter of Aether Engravings in his eyes; other precise coloration is not established. He remains thoughtful, practical, and kinder than his stern concentration initially suggests. (Chapters 65, 116, 478, and 2199)

Abilities and progression

Nathan can examine damage to Classes, advise people nearing Class thresholds, and discuss Fate with unusual sophistication. His expertise grows from direct exposure to Randidly’s Aether work and later Aether Engravings. He can identify instability and guide development, but he is not shown freely rewriting any Class without preparation, cooperation, or risk. (Chapters 630, 931, 1029, 1262, and 2199)

Relationships

Kiersty is his twin, Randidly is both mentor and dangerous catalyst, and Drake becomes one of the people whose engagement with Fate Nathan evaluates. Razor first reveals Nathan’s protective compassion. (Chapters 65, 116, 630, and 1262)
