Moish keeps his attention on the wasteland while Turteline guards mock the mismatched non-Turtelines assigned beside them, demonstrating a professionalism that matters more than species pride. He later departs the guardhouse with Raddeus and immediately tries to invite himself to dinner, only to be refused. The exchange gives Homewell's defenders a life beyond crisis and shows Moish as both watchful officer and shamelessly sociable friend. (Chapters 2058, 2121, 2135)
