Donny

Donny is the young founder for whom Donnyton is named and the settlement's enduring civic-martial leader. He begins with more bravado than experience, but accepts a responsibility that quickly outgrows him. While Randidly supplies extraordinary force, Donny helps build the local authority, training culture, and defensive coordination that allow the village to remain a polity rather than a hero's temporary camp. (Chapters 22, 44, 551, 917, and 2314)

Biography

The village coin and Donnyton

Donny first encounters Randidly while traveling with Tera and another exhausted teenager. His attempt to style himself “Dusk” and order the stronger survivor around collapses quickly, yet his excitement over founding a village becomes consequential once the group secures a village coin. Donny activates it and becomes Chieftain, anchoring the settlement that bears his name while Randidly trains its defenders and others handle specialized administration. (Chapters 22–44)

Growing into the mantle

Early Donny often leaves detailed management to Daniel while concentrating on recruits, combat, and the Knight Class inherited through village Mentor Stones. Over time, that division becomes a strength rather than simple inexperience. He consults on Class standards, defense, and squad authority, and by the inter-Zone negotiations is recognized as a young leader whose shoulders have grown into a responsibility he neither expected nor originally wanted. (Chapters 44, 107, and 551)

Donnyton's independent challenge

Randidly's return with vastly greater power forces Donnyton to decide whether it will remain dependent on him. Donny accepts the multi-rung challenge and joins Miranda Hamilton, Sam, Annie, and the Squads in a coordinated test. He cannot match Randidly alone, but his golden shield repeatedly interposes between the attacker and his allies. Choosing to continue after suffering casualties proves that Donnyton can make its own collective decision under pressure. (Chapters 917 and 949–959)

Expira leadership

As Donnyton becomes one established center within Expira, Donny retains both symbolic and practical authority. He participates with the assembled elites who test Randidly's image physicalizations, using his shield to exploit an injured point even when the raw disparity remains enormous. By Chapter 2314, he is still discussing readiness with Miranda Hamilton as the final crisis unfolds, showing that his defining contribution is sustained communal preparation rather than a single founding act. (Chapters 1296, 1489–1493, and 2314)

Appearance and personality

Donny is an average-looking young man whose youth initially contrasts with the authority of his office. By the time he greets Hank, his firm grip, decisive bearing, and settled gaze make the responsibility visible even without ceremonial clothing. No stable hair or eye color is established, and practical armor with his luminous shield best reflects his mature battlefield role. (Chapters 22, 551, and 949)

He is pragmatic, competitive, communal, and willing to delegate. Early arrogance becomes accountable confidence as he learns that a settlement requires administrators, trainers, crafters, and squad leaders rather than a single commanding personality. He enjoys difficult tests and can be blunt, but his decisions repeatedly center Donnyton's ability to survive without waiting for Randidly to return. (Chapters 44, 107, 551, 917, and 2314)

Abilities and progression

Knight defense

Donny follows a Knight-centered combat path and fights with sword and shield. Aegis spreads a golden defensive aura, Healing Circle supplies group recovery, and Challenging Shout draws an opponent's attention so more vulnerable allies can act. These techniques make him a formation anchor rather than a pure duelist. Even early on, he steps between Randidly and other fighters, accepting attacks intended for the group. (Chapters 44 and 109)

Golden shield and coordinated combat

In mature battles, Donny's shield becomes a bright golden barrier that illuminates the surrounding area and supports the movement of Donnyton's forces. He can block long enough to create an opening, and later lands a shield strike on a point already weakened by image damage. The build cannot erase a vast difference in speed or power; its effectiveness depends on allies using the brief safety and pressure he creates. (Chapters 949–952 and 1489)

Settlement command

Donny's most consequential capability is not a named Skill. He organizes fighters, shares authority with specialists, maintains standards for gaining Classes and joining Squads, and represents Donnyton in wider negotiations. This leadership has clear limits: Daniel and Miranda Hamilton often handle complexities outside Donny's focus, and Randidly remains individually stronger. The division of labor is precisely what lets Donnyton endure those absences and disparities. (Chapters 44, 551, 917, and 2314)

Relationships

  • Randidly Ghosthound: Early trainer, ally, and overwhelming benchmark whose absences force Donny to develop independent local authority.
  • Miranda Hamilton: Closest long-term partner in Donnyton leadership, sharing civic planning and readiness responsibilities.
  • Alana Donal: Principal battlefield commander whose martial leadership complements Donny's settlement-wide role.
  • Sam: Founding-era smith whose Production District equips the people Donny organizes.
  • Annie: Scout and ranged champion within Donnyton's elite defensive network.

Items

  • Village coin: Donny activates the coin that founds the Newbie Village later named Donnyton. (Chapters 22–44)
  • Golden shield: His signature defensive equipment, used with Aegis and later image-supported formation combat. (Chapters 109, 949, and 1489)
