Darius

Darius is the academy owner's rightful heir, a resentful peak Qi Training cultivator who targets his stepbrother Brent and Brent's friend Tetsuya. Reliance on medicine, hired attackers, and family status lets him manufacture danger beyond his own strength, but a terrorist bargain ultimately places him under a death sentence his father cannot prevent.

Biography

Rivalry and humiliation

Darius hates Brent and Tetsuya because their talent and friendship threaten the position he inherited in comfort. Still unable to reach Foundation after medicine-assisted growth, he arrives with goons and attacks Lex merely for profiting from a bet on Tetsuya. Lex defeats the group, and Tetsuya strips Darius's valuables before dragging him home, making the public humiliation deepen a resentment already driving assassination attempts. (Chapters 206–210)

Terrorist bargain and sentence

Darius exchanges access to a space-station guard for the assassination of Tetsuya, then repeatedly watches the execution recording while planning further revenge. Dimitri investigators trace the terrorist breach back to him, use serum to force a confession, and order a full interrogation followed by death. His father's anger offers no refuge; the same privilege that enabled the conspiracy becomes irrelevant once Darius threatens the ruling family's security. (Chapters 213–214)

Appearance and personality

Darius is a spoiled young man whose face reddens with pain and rage after Lex shoots him. He carries himself with the certainty of an heir surrounded by goons, but beneath that aggression is consuming insecurity about Brent and Tetsuya outperforming him. He can suppress an outburst long enough to delete evidence and contact assassins, showing calculated malice rather than mere temper, yet collapses when institutional protection reverses. Abilities and cultivation

Peak Qi Training

Darius reaches peak Qi Training largely through medicine but cannot easily break into Foundation, leaving his base less stable than rivals who advance through talent and combat. He survives Lex's gunfire through protective equipment and can swing a spiked club with cultivator strength. The dependence on treasures, goons, and medication is decisive: once isolated, his personal cultivation cannot defeat Lex or resist Dimitri investigators. (Chapters 207–210 and 213–214)

Patronage and covert access

As the academy owner's heir, Darius commands hired fighters and can arrange a guard's distraction at a space station. That access makes him useful to terrorists even though he mistakes the favor for something minor. His political ability depends entirely on family networks and secrecy; investigators expose it through coercive interrogation, while the assassins cut contact once their exchange is complete.
